LIV Istinye University Hospital Bahcesehir

I came here in the spring of 2022 with a diagnosis of stage 4 adenocarcinoma.
The head of the International Department, Lala, handled the organization of the treatment process. The organization was at the highest level. I was admitted to the hospital immediately and treatment began without delay, since the malignant process was progressing.
I received modern diagnostics and treatment — chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The disease receded. A follow-up PET CT 7 months after treatment showed a complete absence of tumor activity.
Modern treatment and diagnostic equipment, quality medicines, professionalism — that is İstinye Üniversite Hastanesi Liv Hospital in Istanbul.
Special thanks to oncologist Tahsin (Uzm. Dr. Tahsin Özatlı), radiologist Taylan (Uzm. Dr. Taylan Bükülmez) and his staff Irmak and Melisa. Also special thanks to the clinic’s International Department employee, guide-translator and graduate of Kharkiv Medical University, Imran (Imran Fiyruzoğlu).
In this hospital they give you a chance and the opportunity to live!

I went to Istinye hospital for physical rehabilitation, special thanks to the physiotherapists there, a very clean and good hospital.

At İstinye Üniversite Hastanesi Liv Hospital, medical services are generally offered in a professional and modern setting. The doctors and medical staff are attentive, but in some cases there is non-compliance with appointment times and long waits. I also think they need to be more transparent on pricing. The hospital is clean and has a strong technological infrastructure, but the patient communication and information processes could be improved.

Liv Hospital Bahçeşehir! We made an appointment with the plastic surgeon Orhan Fahri Demir for 16:00. They kept us waiting until 17:00, and then said the doctor had left. A very indifferent hospital, they did not even apologize.
Definitely stay away from this hospital.

On April 11, 2022, I was diagnosed with stage III ovarian cancer.
The nurse immediately began looking for a clinic for my further treatment; she found LIV HOSPITAL online and wrote to Lala Savaş.
On the same day (April 11): — Lala advised on the cost of treatment; — booked us a hotel (we were in Istanbul on April 13); — scheduled a full check-up for April 14: MRI, PET-CT, gastroscopy, tests, a meeting with the oncologist (thanks to Dr. Tahsin Özatlı 🙏 after 1 year and 7 months I fully recovered!); — already on April 17 I had my first chemotherapy.
I listed everything above with dates so you understand how fast the international department works.
I also want to add about the international department’s service: if you arrive by plane you will be met at the airport and taken to the hotel; transfer from the hotel to the clinic and back is provided; a translator accompanies you during all procedures at the clinic; translators are with you 24/7 (my favorite translators are Imran and Can 🫶); if you need a consultation with a doctor you are not currently booked with but really need, they will find you a slot.
After chemotherapy I had an operation performed by Professor Ceyhun Numanoglu, to whom I owe my successful recovery 🙏 (after the operation I continued treatment).
I tried to write as concisely and to the point as possible.
If anyone has doubts — don’t! The doctors, medical staff, translators and the clinic itself are at the highest level!
I AM GRATEFUL TO EVERYONE I MET AT LIV HOSPITAL

The hospital is new and fully equipped. Despite being private, there are some problems — I encountered this. For example, you can only book an ultrasound a few days in advance. There are many good and attentive doctors. Also, almost half of the patients are Arabs. The prices are naturally high.

I want to express my deepest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Baran Yılmaz for the exceptional care and expertise he provided throughout my deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery.
Having gone through this transformative surgical journey, I am incredibly lucky to have had you as my neurosurgeon. From our first meeting, your knowledge, confidence and the genuine empathy you showed helped ease my fears and made me feel confident that I was in the best possible hands.
Your remarkable surgical skill and attention to detail during the DBS procedure were evident in the successful results I experienced. I am grateful for the time and care you took to thoroughly explain each step of the surgical process to me.
In addition, your unwavering support and encouragement throughout my recovery period were invaluable. Your willingness to address my concerns, answer my many questions and provide reassurance made this difficult journey much more manageable.
Beyond your technical expertise, what stands out most is your compassion and genuine care for your patients. You were always willing to take a few extra moments to offer comfort and support.
In conclusion, thank you again for the exceptional care you provided during my DBS surgery. You have left an indelible mark on my life, and I will be forever grateful.
I wish you continued success and fulfillment in your medical career.
With sincere appreciation,
Anas Alnatour

The hospital is large and fully equipped. Actually, the number of staff is also sufficient, but despite this, disputes over the queue arise in front of the doctors’ offices. Because the staff whose main task is monitoring patients are busy with other things.

Our life has been connected with İstinye Üniversite Hastanesi Liv Hospital for two and a half years now. Back in 2021, my father was diagnosed with cancer. We were looking for a place where he could receive high-quality treatment, and we found it. Despite all the difficulties and misunderstandings we had to go through, my family and I are very grateful to all the hospital staff.
Our special and immense gratitude belongs to Dr. Tahsin Özatlı, Dr. Taylan Bükülmez and Dr. Imran Fayruzoglu.
Dr. Tahsin Özatlı is my father’s oncologist and attending physician. He is an excellent specialist. He always supports and is ready to help with anything. He remained very optimistic throughout the chemotherapy course and thereby gave us the strength to continue. Over all these years we stayed in touch with him, and he always provided support and advice, answering all questions very quickly.
Dr. Taylan Bükülmez is my father’s radiologist. He is an excellent professional. He drew up a very precise radiological treatment plan with exact doses based on the results of my father’s PET/CT scan. Fortunately, he convinced my father to complete the radiological treatment, although it was not easy.
During the difficult radiological treatment with many side effects, my parents were lucky to meet Dr. Imran Fayruz Oglu. He was not my father’s doctor and therefore was not obligated to help them, but he helped so much and gave so much of his energy that it cannot be forgotten. Dr. Imran Fayruz Oglu is a wonderful person, a doctor from God. He explains everything so that an ordinary person without a medical education can understand. But most importantly — he is a person with a big heart. He supports patients and gives them optimism and faith that everything will go very well.
My gratitude also goes to our warm-hearted translator Juliana. She is always caring and supportive.
My family and I thank İstinye Üniversite Hastanesi Liv Hospital for their professionalism and for the hope they gave us. We thank all the staff for their hard but such important work.
Those who give warmth, care and kindness to other people will receive much more from the universe.

I have never in my life paid such an amount for a pediatric visit; I paid 710 lira for a pediatrician to examine my child, who had a fever.
The good thing about the hospital is that it is luxurious, clean, with good amenities. They have an office on the 1st floor for international patients, where you can go through the registration process, and from there a translator will accompany you to the doctor to help with translation, since their Turkish doctors do not speak English (never in my life have I met a doctor who does not speak English).
The translator also helped me at the pharmacy; he is from Syria and was very pleasant and responsive.
They also have a valet service that costs 15 lira, and the service was very good.
Overall the experience was good, except for the very high price.

Our wonderful experience with Dr. Coordinator Marina.
I would like to express my great gratitude to Dr. Marina, as well as to her assistant Marina. In the shortest possible time from the moment of leaving a request, I was contacted by the assistant Marina, carefully listened to the essence of our problem and passed the information to the coordinating doctor Marina. Then we listened to the diagnosis in detail, clarified all the data and in the shortest possible time selected a method of treatment, a clinic, as well as a highly qualified professor who met all our needs. I would also like to note that our financial capacity was taken into account and we were offered an option that also suited us. Dr. Marina was on call 24/7 and answered all our questions very quickly. A consultation with a professor neurosurgeon was quickly scheduled and the surgery was organized. We were also assisted in purchasing tickets, booking a hotel and organized airport transfers. Upon arrival at İstinye Üniversite Hastanesi Liv Hospital in Istanbul, we were met by our interpreter Juliana, a very responsible and helpful person. She was with us from the beginning of the consultation with the neurosurgeon to the very discharge from the hospital, explaining every point that we were interested in. We would also like to note the high professionalism and attentive attitude to patients of Prof. Baran Yılmaz and his assistants. The İstinye Üniversite Hastanesi Liv Hospital that was chosen for us has modern medical equipment, excellent and responsive staff in the clinic.
We would like to thank the coordinating doctor Marina, her assistant, our interpreter and all the staff of the clinic for organizing our treatment! Thank you for cooperation and quick qualified solution of our problem.
I recommend it 100%

I am receiving treatment in medical oncology. I want to thank the nurses of the chemotherapy department and my doctor very much.

My first visit to the hospital. I like the atmosphere and the discipline. The staff are very kind and responsive, especially in the radiation oncology department. I will record my impressions of the hospital during my radiotherapy visits and will add my comments to this review as events unfold at the hospital.

I had a hair transplant at İstinye Üniversite Hastanesi Liv Hospital, very good doctors, they did the whole operation in 6,5 hours, gave all recommendations and medications. Special thanks to the assistant Dr. Marina, she is very helpful.

I would like to thank Experts Medical, namely Dr. Konstantin for prompt organization of medical treatment. I contacted the company through the website and on the same day I received a reply on WhatsApp from Konstantin. Konstantin organized a face-to-face consultation at LIV Istinje University Hospital, transfer from the airport and to the airport, booked a hotel and announced the date of the consultation at the clinic, everything went quickly and organized, many thanks to Dr. Konstantin, Marat, Dr. Orhan Fakhri Demir, translators Juliana, Emin and Vera.

First of all, this is my second visit to Istinye hospital. The first visit was limited to an appointment only.
This time, due to my wife’s illness, the hospitalization and operation took place on the 15th floor.
Although the hospital is extremely modern, I saw that the competence of the staff and the way things are run are not entirely satisfactory. I understand — you are waiting to see whether I will write something concrete.
a) I believe that the cleaning, catering, etc. services, as well as the work of the nurses, are not at a proper and satisfactory level. It is now 11:42, and cleaning has not yet come to our room. The team conducting the satisfaction survey, instead of entering the room and checking and taking notes themselves, asks the companion.
b) Most importantly — the order of the surgery queue is not respected.
c) There is no waiting room on the operating floor, and on the inpatient floors you cannot get information about the stages of the operation from the floor nurses or through electronic systems. For this reason, I had to wait for hours under stress.
d) Patient registration at the entrance is a complete fiasco, you could say. They hand you a pen and paper and ask you to write something, but there is not a single counter.
I have many more remarks, but I don’t want to drag it out.

Despite being a private hospital, the staff and communication systems are insufficient. Apparently there are HR problems. The staff need to be properly guided. Test prices are also something to pay attention to — there are items they charge 5 times more for.

Hello, my husband — SERHAT YİGİT — my husband tore his anterior cruciate ligament, and an operation was performed at this hospital in 2018. The operation was carried out by Dr. ÖZCAN KAYA. My husband’s first operation failed. In that condition, physiotherapy was prescribed, and swelling formed at the operation site. At the same hospital, they performed another operation on him. They sent him home, said he would recover within 6 months; the end of 2019 is approaching, my husband walks with difficulty, still in pain, and at another hospital an MRI was done again. The doctors said an operation was needed. Now he faces a 3rd operation. My husband’s mental state is completely broken. I will sue this hospital with a claim for both material and moral compensation; we suffered so that others would not suffer…… please take note.

We are very satisfied with the medical care provided, the doctors and the medical staff. We are fighting a serious health problem. After a blood test, you must definitely eat before taking the medication. The cafeteria fills with cigarette smoke. In this area, patients both eat and wait. The smoking area should not be so close; it really has a negative effect on the hospital environment and the patient’s quality of life. A solution must be found urgently…

I would like to thank Experts Medical service, namely Dr. Konstantin for prompt organization of our medical diagnostics and all-round support from the beginning to the end. I contacted the company through the website and the very next day I received a reply on WhatsApp from Dr. Konstantin. This is a person with great empathy and patience – he gave explanations and recommendations to all my million questions and worries very competently, quickly and professionally. Our doctors in Kazakhstan recommended corrective surgery for my son and recommended a clinic in Serbia. Dr. Konstantin helped us to contact the clinic directly and get their absentee consultation. In addition, we were organized an in-person diagnosis at the LIV University Hospital (Istanbul). Fortunately, the need for surgery was not confirmed and we returned home. It was the first time we had the experience of applying to foreign clinics, but everything went with confidence and peace of mind, as there were clear instructions and constant communication with Konstantin. Thank you for everything!

The hospital is clean and modern, attention and care are there. Before the operation, the nurse tried 3 times to find a vein, couldn’t, and said “we’ll solve it in the operating room” — there too they tried 3 times, and in the end placed the catheter on the back of the foot. I did not raise my voice, but I doubted their professionalism — I take one point off here. They did the operation, and when I came for the dressing, my doctor Haluk said “don’t hold your arm like a stick” — that astonished me. Again I did not raise my voice, but I thought to myself what kind of place I had ended up in — I take another point off here. Good work.

Maybe I can’t speak for all the doctors, but the obstetrician-gynecologist was not friendly at all, and for a patient the most important thing is friendliness and attention.

The doctors are good, the appointment is good, but you need a translator. The hospital is expensive, the nurses are arrogant and not interested in the patient… The handling of emergency cases is not very good and not organized. I was bleeding and I lost my baby, and while I was in the chair, I was moved from floor to floor for payment and paperwork. I don’t recall being in the emergency department, I didn’t even see it — they even took me to the outpatient clinic to be examined by a doctor, although I was supposed to be in the emergency department and the doctor should come to me.

Everywhere they do a COVID test for 170 lira, but here they charge 250. For your information…

We were supervised by manager Konstantin and Elor. Everything was at the highest level, in time organized transfer. Service and customer service is just super. Together with the patient experience the whole process. Thank you very much to all the staff of Liv Clinics!
I would like to thank İstinye Bahçeşehir Hospital for their support during my father’s 4-month treatment, especially my endless gratitude to SELİM ŞEKER and BARAN YILMAZ from the neurosurgical department, and a thousand thanks to my doctor HAKAN in the palliative care service and all the staff in the palliative care service. Everyone is very good, they took very good care of us. God bless you all.
Greetings to everyone.
I am very grateful to Prof. Umit Koc, thank you for your work, my health has improved significantly.
I also thank the interpreter, Balkans coordinator Ilirjana Kacar, who was there for us and answered us whenever we needed her. I advise all patients from Macedonia and Albania to come to Istinye Liv Hospital.
I wish you all the best.

Thank you Ms. Wish and Ms. Birsen, !!! Great hospital. Everything is top notch. The service. Food. The staff is good. Large comfortable rooms! Special thanks to Dilbar – our coordinator! And a huge thank you to Dr. Baran Yilmaz.
Liv Istinye is a modern and well organized hospital, especially for international patients. All steps of our trip were planned carefully. Doctor Baran Yilmaz answered all important questions about the forthcoming procedure, he was pleasant and open for discussion. He and his assistant, Esra performed the procedure professionally and with kind approach that minimizes my discomfort and anxiety. Our experience was fulfilled by the efforts of Edina who helped us for organizing the trip and Lejla who was with us in the most difficult moments.
My mother was treated at your hospital. We were very pleased with our chemotherapy doctor, Tahsin, and our nurses, Deniz and Sevim, who conducted our treatment. We are very grateful to all of them.

Associate Professor Umit Koc performed an operation on my father, my father, who had a heart disease at the age of 85, got up that day, thank God, a very caring doctor, very decent quality in the hospital, we were very satisfied, thank you for everything to the staff of Liv Hospital.

I was very satisfied with the service of the orthopedic doctors, I pass on my thanks to all of them. Love to Görkem, Kaya, Haluk and Gürkan Hoça.
I highly recommend Liv Istinier Hospital, the doctors are very kind and the hospital is very clean. A big thank you to Tansi and Abdulbasit from the international office for always helping with the interpretation, they are very dedicated, hardworking and determined employees that any organization would be proud of, they are always ready to help.
