I am a year Post op this week and can honestly say having the surgery was the best decision of my life. I had a gastric sleeve on 27.7.22 with Dr Necdet Derici. He and his whole team were incredible. I felt so safe and looked after from the minute of enquiring to now, post op and a year down the line. Weight loss had been more than I expected, I have lost 6 stone now and I’m happy where I’m at. The health benefits and overall quality of life I have now is just wonderful. Life is good. I am forever grateful and just wish I’d taken this sooner. Thank you so much to all at Novemed for giving me the tool to get my life back.

It's important to note the care of consultant who ensured that I was well received and everything ran smoothly throughout my stay in Istanbul. Then met the translator took me through everything to be done on the day until operation. Dr Derici did a splendid job and the nutritionists all played their roles with care & how my lifestyle will be like going forward . Two nights spent at hospital was such a wonderful experience since the nurses did their best taking care of me even went beyond expectations by translating with phones to ensure I understood what was happening and ensured I was relaxed. In overall, my experience was awesome & worth it!!!

My experience with gastric bypass surgery. Hi all! I would like to thank all the Novemed staff involved in my surgery. Starting with my consultant, translator, thanks to all the nurses and, of course, the operating doctor Necdet Derici. From the moment of my first contact with Novemed everything was easy and simple, all my questions and problems were answered quickly and in great detail, picked up from the airport as agreed, the hotel was good, and everything went well on the day of the operation, 24/7 support from daytime and night nurses. I had my gastric bypass surgery on 3rd May 2021. Dr Derici was very helpful and put me at ease as soon as I met him. He made sure all my pre op tests came back fine before going ahead. After my surgery he came around to let me know it was all done and there were no concerns. He came to examine me daily until I left the hospital. He has really friendly and calm manner which reassured me. I would definitely recommend him to anyone thinking about bariatric surgery. Thanks so much Dr Derici. Education and professional experience

In 1995 he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Istanbul University.
From 1995 to 1999, he worked as a physician assistant at Istanbul Teaching and Research Hospital.
He joined Istanbul Training and Research Hospital as a general surgery specialist and worked from 2000 to 2009.
In 2015, he worked with Dr. Bruno Dillemans on laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery in Belgium.
In 2017, he worked with Dr. Philippe Teaupart and Dr. Guillaume Becouarne on obesity surgery and laparoscopy.
