Diagnosis: prosthetics

Three front teeth were rotten and had to be pulled out. I did not think for a long time, I decided to put prostheses. We were just on vacation in Turkey, I decided to combine business with pleasure. I turned to the Esnan clinic, as my friends did their teeth there and were very satisfied. I got diagnosed and started treatment. It all took a few weeks. It turned out that ceramic composite prostheses are quickly manufactured and installed. I want to say thank you to the doctors of the clinic. Everything is great.

Diagnosis: prosthetics

On vacation, a tooth ached, it was necessary to remove it, and I immediately decided to put a prosthesis. The doctor at the Stanbul Aesthetic clinic spoke about the nuances of recovery, prescribed painkillers in case of difficult engraftment, but I did not need them. I have been with a prosthesis for a month now, thank you so much! The tooth is no different from the real one, it is easy to chew and feels strong. Thank you!

Diagnosis: prosthetics

We went to Turkey for prosthetics with my wife. We were satisfied and pleasantly surprised by the timing and quality of the work done. Everything took about 10 days. The temporary teeth were placed while the dentures were being made. The price is more expensive than ours, but tolerable. Teeth are no different from natural teeth. I recommend.

Diagnosis: prosthetics + dental veneers

I treated my teeth at Istanbul Aesthetic. The clinic itself is located in a very convenient area, metro, and shops. The clinic staff left a good impression. Lived nearby in a hotel. From the very beginning of our arrival in Istanbul, we were greeted friendly, our transfer was organized. Doctor Aylin Turan is a specialist in his field. Corrected the dentition. Everything looks great now. Sparkling Hollywood smile, as always dreamed of. And it’s not scary at all!

What is dental prosthetics?

Dental prosthetics is one of the most popular procedures among medical tourism in Turkey. The country attracts thousands of patients from all over the world thanks to its highly qualified specialists, modern clinics, and competitive prices.

Dental prosthetics is a popular dental procedure that aims to restore the functionality and aesthetics of dentition through the use of dentures.

Dental prosthetics can be fixed, removable, or combined, depending on the nature of the fixation of prostheses in the oral cavity. The procedure improves the smile aesthetics, chewing, speech, and quality of life of patients.

Why do foreign patients choose Turkey?

Dental prosthetics in TurkeyForeign patients choose Turkey for dental prosthetics for several reasons:

  • modern dental clinics equipped with advanced equipment;
  • Turkish orthodontists are internationally accredited and constantly improve their skills and knowledge to keep abreast of the latest technologies and methods of treatment of the dentoalveolar system;
  • individual approach to each patient: doctors conduct a thorough examination and consultation to understand the patient’s needs and wishes;
  • specialists develop an optimal treatment plan and strive to achieve the best results;
  • higher prices for dental prosthetics compared to other countries: the average cost of a prosthesis in Turkey starts from $1600 while in Germany it can reach $5000;
  • the opportunity to combine dental treatment with leisure and tourism in Turkey, which is known for its beautiful nature, historical sites, and hospitality;
  • additional services for international patients such as transfer, hotel accommodation, translator, and online consultation.

Dental prosthetics procedure in Turkey is recommended in the following cases:

  • significant damage to the crown part of the tooth, for example, with large volumes of carious destruction;
  • absolute destruction of the crown part of the tooth, when only the root remains;
  • pathological tooth wear not associated with caries;
  • single or multiple defects of the dentition;
  • complete adentia (lack of teeth).

Depending on the degree and nature of the defect, various methods of prosthetics can be chosen: inlays, crowns, veneers, bridges, and removable or implant-supported dentures.

Contraindications for Prosthetics

In most cases, contraindications to dental prosthetics are temporary. Among them are the following:

  • inflammatory processes in the oral cavity such as stomatitis and gingivitis;
  • weakening of the bone in the jaw, known as osteoporosis;
  • infectious purulent-necrotic lesion of the jaw (osteomyelitis);
  • acute periodontitis with inflammation of the gums and severe tooth mobility;
  • acute inflammatory processes in the body;
  • period of pregnancy and lactation.

Elimination of these temporary contraindications allows for the procedure of dental prosthetics.

Types of Prosthetics

Fixed prosthetics in TurkeyDental prosthetics in Turkey are classified according to the nature of fixation. Thus, there are three main types:

  1. Fixed prosthetics is a method of restoring teeth, in which artificial teeth or crowns are attached to implants or the patient’s own teeth and are not removed for cleaning or sleeping. Prostheses such as crowns, bridges, or implants are designed to permanently replace one or more teeth. They provide strong attachment and stability, restoring chewing function and smile aesthetics. Fixed dentures are a long-term solution. They have advantages in comfort and reliability compared to removable dentures.
  2. Removable prosthetics is a procedure for the restoration of dental units, in which the prostheses can be removed by the patient for cleaning and maintenance. They are usually used to replace a significant defect in the dentition or complete dentition. They are attached to the remaining teeth or rest on the gum with the help of special fasteners.
  3. Combined or conditionally removable prosthetics. The design combines elements of fixed and removable prostheses. For example, a combined prosthesis may include a fixed non-removable part, such as a bridge or implants, as well as a removable part that can be removed by the patient for care and cleaning. Combined prostheses are used to replace large defects in the dentition, as well as in cases where it is impossible or undesirable to use only removable or non-removable structures.

The final choice of the method of dental prosthetics in Turkey depends on the individual needs and characteristics of each patient. The dentist, based on the condition of the teeth and gums, aesthetic preferences, functional requirements, and financial capabilities of the patient, will recommend the most appropriate type of dental prosthetics.

Features of diagnostics in Turkey before prosthetics

Diagnosis before prosthetics in Turkey: Oral examinationDiagnosis before prosthetics in Germany is an important step that allows to determine the condition of the oral cavity, choose the optimal type of prosthetics, and plan treatment.

Diagnostics may include the following procedures:

  1. Examination of the oral cavity. This is an initial consultation, during which the doctor assesses the general condition of the teeth and gums, identifies problem areas, and discusses with the patient his wishes and possibilities.
  2. X-ray of teeth and jaws. This research method allows to get detailed information about the structure of bone tissue, inflammation, caries, periodontitis, and other diseases.
  3. Imprint of teeth. This is a method of obtaining a three-dimensional model of the patient’s dentition using special materials (silicone, alginate, etc.). Imprints are necessary for the manufacture of prostheses according to the individual size and shape of the teeth.
Stages of dental prosthetics

Stages of prosthetics in Turkey: ImprintThe procedure for prosthetics in Turkey includes the following steps:

  1. Preparation of the oral cavity, including removal of damaged teeth and treatment of caries.
  2. Dental impression.
  3. Making prostheses.
  4. Implantation of titanium roots into the jaw bone tissue using surgical intervention. This step may not be necessary if the prosthesis is made on your own teeth or roots.
  5. Osseointegration is the stage at which the fusion of implants with the bone occurs.
  6. Installation of abutments and prostheses is the stage at which the doctor fixes special transitional elements (abutments) on implants or teeth, which serve to fasten prostheses.
