Which tests are done before surgery
Before surgery, the patient sees a bariatric surgeon and, under clinic packages, a dietitian, an anesthesiologist, an internal medicine doctor and a cardiologist. They review the medical history, calculate the body mass index and assess whether surgery is appropriate.
Clinic packages usually include blood tests, an ultrasound and an X-ray. The doctor may add other tests depending on your health.

Gastric Sleeve is a surgical intervention used for weight loss purposes. The surgery is based on reducing stomach size %70. Whilst stomach size is reduced, the food intake gets smaller and with the removal of fundus (Small hormonal gland on the top of stomach – organises appettite hormones) patients crave less and they will start losing weight.
Surgery takes approximately 45 minutes or 1 hour. Most of the time ( Unless there is previous abdominal surgery in the past ), surgery is performed by laparoscopical approach.
