inguinal hernia
An inguinal hernia was operated on by a wonderful doctor - Igor Sukhotnik. We have been in Israel for two years now, but we have not acquired good doctors. And we had a rather complicated case, so we had to choose the best doctor. My husband and I made no mistake. Thanks to the clinics service on call for the tip.

About the Doctor

Specialization

Professor Igor Sukhotnik prefers endovideosurgical technologies – laparoscopy and thoracoscopy. They allow us to get an excellent view of the internal organs of the chest, abdomen and pelvis without large incisions, and to perform the necessary manipulations accurately and bloodlessly. After such operations, which are certainly more complicated than traditional ones, especially in small children, patients recover much faster, feel less pain, have a low risk of complications, including adhesions, and have a much easier postoperative period.

Prof. Igor Sukhotnik operates on children from the first days of life, including premature ones, up to the age of 16. He performs classical and minimally invasive, emergency and planned operations with equal success.

Here is not a complete list of diseases for which he performs surgical interventions:

  • various hernias, including bilateral inguinal hernias with hernioplasty of both hernias within one operation;
  • diseases of the gallbladder, spleen, kidneys;
  • congenital anomalies and acquired diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine;
  • urologic diseases, such as hydrocele, and other pathology of the genitals and lower urinary system;
  • various congenital malformations that require correction immediately after birth, including when they were detected during fetal development;
  • tumors of the neck, thoracic and abdominal cavity organs;
  • diseases requiring emergency surgery – appendicitis, peritonitis, intestinal obstruction;
  • conditions requiring auxiliary surgical diagnostic and therapeutic manipulations, such as central venous catheter placement, tissue biopsy.

Active surgical practice and continuous scientific research are the two main areas of Prof. Igor Sukhotnik’s work.
