Diagnosis: Dental prosthetics in Israel

I wore a removable denture for 2 years and began to feel discomfort. I noticed that my face was even distorted, and I began to look 10 years older. I decided to see a dentist to have my denture adjusted and get advice on my bite. I live in Israel, and signed up for the Sourasky Clinic based on a friend’s recommendation. At the appointment, the doctor talked about bone atrophy and the consequences of wearing a removable prosthesis. This puzzled me, but after talking with the doctor it became clear that any prosthesis of this design would aggravate the situation. They told me about alternatives. In my case, several options came up, and I chose instant dental implantation with the installation of a complete denture. Diagnostics and preparation were carried out at the clinic. I just had to come. On the day of the operation, implants were installed and impressions were taken. Three days later, an adaptive prosthesis was installed. I couldn’t believe that such complex procedures could be done so quickly now. I am very pleased with the work of the implantologist and orthopedist; all operations and procedures were carried out quickly, without pain, the prosthesis fit right away. The service and attitude pleased me, so I am very grateful to all the doctors who helped me get my smile back! The dental department of the Sourasky Clinic deserves 5/5 in instant dental implantation. I recommend them to everyone!

Diagnosis: Dental prosthetics in Israel

I went to Israel for dental prosthetics. I chose the Souraski clinic because my employee had her teeth treated there (during the Covid period) and spoke very highly of the clinic. After the flight, I was met, picked up from the airport, and checked into a hotel near the clinic. The first meeting with the doctor was the next day. Conducted an examination. I have bad teeth, so the Israeli dentists had to work hard. In total, the trip took 3 weeks, as some prosthetic procedures took time. But I was in no hurry. I was going to relax in Israel, which is what I did in between visits to the dentist: I went on excursions, walked around the city. In general, I liked everything: dental treatment and relaxation. 🙂

Diagnosis: Dental prosthetics in Israel

I don’t like dentists! Therefore, I can only go to the dentist when it gets really bad! This time has come. The teeth were badly damaged, making it difficult to chew. I even lost weight, since I could only eat liquid porridge and so on. The situation was worse than ever… My daughter insisted on going to the Israeli clinic Meir (she had veneers installed there and already knew how to organize the trip). Well what can I say. Here they were even able to put crowns on my stumps! It’s clear that it was better to see a doctor when my teeth just started to deteriorate, but that’s the kind of person I am. And, as I have seen, in Israel they cope with serious problems very well!

Why is dental prosthetics in Israel in demand among residents of other countries?

Dental prosthetics in Israel for foreigners

Dental prosthetics in Israel is a high-quality medical service that dentists provide in a short time and with good results. The international level of dentistry, including dental prosthetics in Israel, is due to several reasons:

  • Israeli dentists and dental technicians who perform dental prosthetics in Israel receive excellent professional training, constantly improve their qualifications, and master advanced dental technologies and materials, including in the USA and Europe;
  • In Israel 60 companies are producing dental materials and high-tech equipment for dental laboratories in which prosthetics are made;
  • A great number of private and public clinics offer dental prosthetics in Israel, so there is competition in this area of medicine, and there is constant improvement in this service in the interests of patients.

Dental prosthetics in Israel ensures the elimination of any dental defects. All types of dental restoration in Israeli clinics are available to residents of other countries.

Why do foreigners come to Israel for dental prosthetics?

Dental prosthetics in Israel is a popular medical service among those foreigners who prefer to pay a reasonable price for premium dentistry. The cost of dental prosthetics in Israel is 30% less than in Germany and Switzerland, and 50% less than in the USA with the same quality and long-term results. Therefore, one of the best cost/quality ratios in the world can be found in Israeli dental clinics.

Most dental clinics in Israel are interested in accepting foreign patients. Israeli orthopedic dentists:

  • practice the most personalized approach – taking into account the patient’s wishes and optimizing the cost of services without compromising quality;
  • carry out painless prosthetics of any complexity in comfortable conditions;
  • use innovative materials and methods for restoring dentition;
  • provide first-class aesthetic results;
  • provide long-term guarantees for all types of dentures;
  • shorten and optimize the duration of prosthetics;
  • offer service packages at a more favorable price;
  • offer additional services related to the stay and pastime of patients in Israel.

Therefore, residents from countries with both more expensive and cheaper dental services than in Israel come to this country for dental prosthetics.

In what cases do Israeli dentists recommend dentures

Using dental prosthetics, dentists in Israel:

  • restore any number of missing teeth up to complete edentia and teeth with destroyed crowns that can no longer be restored using conventional treatment;
  • eliminate aesthetic defects, and improve the aesthetics of the dentition.

To do this, doctors use various types of removable, fixed and conditionally removable prosthetics – from microprosthetics (for example, veneers) to All-on-4 (All teeth on 4 implants).

dental prosthetics - dentists in IsraelWhen choosing a method for restoring the dentition, an orthopedic dentist takes into account many factors, including:

  • condition of the gums, teeth and age of the patient;
  • the presence of contraindications to a certain type of prosthesis;
  • personal preferences;
  • aesthetic needs and financial capabilities of the patient;
  • the time period within which the patient needs to meet.

The doctor may postpone the procedure if the patient has acute inflammatory processes in the oral cavity (gingivitis, osteomyelitis, periodontitis), severe osteoporosis of the jaw bone, pregnancy, or lactation period.

What is the difference between removable prosthetics in Israel?

Removable denture structuresRemovable denture structures are popular among both the local population and foreigners. Such prostheses are indicated for those people for whom, for several reasons (medical and non-medical), dentists cannot perform permanent prosthetics using a crown or “bridge” (bridge) on supporting teeth or implants.

In such cases, Israeli dentists suggest wearing removable dentures – clasp dentures on a metal frame or new-generation plate ones. These are functional and aesthetic prostheses without a palate made of nylon or innovative acrylic plastic Acry Free, developed by the Israeli company Perflex Ltd. Dentures from Acree Free, according to doctors and patient reviews, are the best option for removable dental prosthetics in Israel today.

Also, removable dentures on implants are becoming increasingly popular among foreign patients in the absence of teeth in the upper or lower jaw. In this case, the prosthesis is firmly held on 2-6 implants using a beam or lock fastening. But at the same time, it can be easily removed for cleaning and perfectly restores all the functions of the dentition.

What diagnostics are carried out in Israel before dental prosthetics on implants

Initial consultation with an orthopedic dentist includes:

  • detailed conversation with the patient and clinical examination of the oral cavity,
  • performing an orthopantomogram (a special panoramic X-ray) and a CT scan of the oral cavity, which show the condition of all teeth in the upper and lower jaw;
  • taking blood tests (general, coagulation, HIV, hepatitis ABC and some others) and, if necessary, consultation with specialized specialists.

The doctor’s task is to obtain the most complete information about the patient before implantation. This allows us to offer the patient the best safest dental solution in each specific situation and ensure long-term results.

What crowns are used for permanent dental prosthetics in Israel?

fixed dental prosthetics in Israel

The following types of crowns are used in dental clinics in Israel:

  • metal-ceramic;
  • zirconium;
  • ceramic.

The first is made from an alloy of medical gold, silver, and platinum with palladium, chromium, nickel in different proportions and ceramics. These are the most popular crowns due to their affordable price. Zirconium crowns are considered the best option, but they are much more expensive. Ceramic (porcelain) crowns are aesthetically pleasing but are used only when restoring front teeth.

Crowns in Israel are made using innovative digital CAD/CAM technology. Using a digital sensor, the doctor scans the oral cavity and dentition and creates a virtual impression. A dental technician uses a 3D model of the crown and special automatic equipment to grind a denture. This technology significantly reduces production time and eliminates errors during prosthetics.

How do they create a “Hollywood smile” in Israel?

Hollywood smile in Israel

To achieve a “Hollywood smile”, Israeli dentists perform micro-prosthetics with special veneers – Lumineers without grinding the teeth. American technology, in which thin onlays made of a certain type of porcelain are placed on teeth, was developed 20 years ago.

To get a smile like Hollywood actors, you will need two visits to the dental clinic. In Israel, doctors use only certified American veneers Lumineers Cerinate.

However, a “Hollywood smile” cannot always be achieved with the help of lumineers. Dentists use various ceramic veneers to correct any defects in the shape and texture of the teeth involved in a smile. Such veneers (componeers) require grinding down the tooth (without removing the nerve) and their installation is more similar to conventional dental prosthetics in Israel.

How to find a good dentist for dental prosthetics in Israel?

find a dentist for dental prosthetics in Israel

According to Wikipedia, there are currently 5,000 private and 200 public dental clinics operating in Israel. All multidisciplinary medical centers in Israel, for example, Ichilov and Assuta have a dental department, which provides all types of prosthetics and employs dentistry professors. At the same time, private clinics also have well-known prosthetists with extensive experience and an international reputation. Dental prosthetics in Israel, both in private and public clinics, have their own advantages and features.

To choose the most suitable option for complete dental restoration, it is advisable to contact Experts Medical. The coordinating doctor will tell you in detail how much dentures cost in Israel in different clinics, present the portfolio of several doctors with only good reviews from patients, and help you make the final choice.

Is dental prosthetics available to everyone in Israel: what are the prices in clinics?

The cost of dentures depends on many factors. For example, from the pricing system in public or private clinics. As a rule, in Israel, the prices of dental prosthetics in private hospitals are much higher.

For example, the average price of one implant varies from $700 to $1200. In elite clinics or with world-renowned specialists in university hospitals, it can reach $2,500. The cost of the crown that will be installed on the implant is from $700 to $1600. At the same time, the average price in Israel for a high-quality complete removable denture is $1,200. A dental crown can cost $400-$1000.

The fairly high prices for dental prosthetics services in Israel are justified by the high-quality and long-term results. Such dental services in the USA and Western Europe cost almost twice as much.

How quickly are dental prosthetics performed in Israel?

Depending on the number of missing teeth and the type of dentures, the process can take from 3 to 14 days. On average, it takes one week to perform prosthetics of any complexity in a comfortable manner for the patient. And also during this period you can get acquainted with the sights of Israel. In addition, other medical problems can be solved. For example, get advice from leading specialists in other fields of medicine and undergo a check-up.

What dental prosthetics in Israel is considered the best?

More and more Israeli dentists use fixed and removable dentures on implants to restore dentition. They widely use both conventional two-stage and innovative one-stage prosthetics. This method allows you to entirely and aesthetically restore all the functions of the dentition, even in the absence of teeth, and at the same time prevent bone tissue atrophy. Dental prosthetics on implants in Israel are safe operations that doctors perform on patients under local anesthesia or general anesthesia.

dental restoration in IsraelA whole arsenal of innovative implants produced and used in Israel allows dentists to perform 4D dental prosthetics on implants successfully. Within one day, doctors implant artificial tooth roots and install dentures on them.

This procedure is especially in demand by foreign patients, as it has several advantages:

  • for such dental prosthetics you need one trip to Israel;
  • often you can do without bone tissue augmentation;
  • doctors perform tooth extraction and denture implantation at the same time;
  • the function of chewing food is restored on the 7th day after surgery;
  • Compared to traditional two-stage implantation, the cost of the procedure is significantly less.
