Valve stenosis treatment

We sent my dad for treatment to a heart center in Munich. Of course, the treatment was not cheap, but the level of care that was provided was definitely worth the money. The rooms are bright and comfortable, patients are looked after and helped in everything, they are very attentive. For elderly patients, the safest medications and procedures are selected. At the hospital where we were initially, they only offered open surgery, and I don’t know how dad, at 80 years old and in poor health, would have endured it. In Germany they said that this was out of the question – the valve would be replaced through a catheter. 10 days after the procedure, we took my father home. Now he feels much better and has stopped complaining of shortness of breath and heart pain.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the cardiologists at the University Hospital Erlangen, especially Dr. Michael Weyand! He successfully replaced my aortic valve.

My diagnosis is mitral valve insufficiency. It is impossible to cure without surgery. Therefore, I decided to have surgery in Turkey. I had surgery at Antalya Memorial Hospital. The intervention was performed by Professor Hussein Okutan. Everything went well. There were no serious complications after prosthetics. Of course, the recovery period took a little longer. Thanks to the medical team for their responsible approach and professionalism. Now I can return to normal life!
