On July 21, 2023 I had surgery to remove a chalazion on my lower right eyelid, it was very comfortable and convenient. My doctor was always by my side before and after the surgery. I usually treat procedures with fear, I am afraid of even an injection, but now not even a day has passed and I have no problems. This doctor can be trusted with closed eyes. Many thanks to Dr. Kaan, who was with me throughout the whole process, his team, all the staff at ecol.

My left eyelid was severely drooped compared to my right, my doctor performed a very successful surgery in 20 minutes, many thanks for his attention and approach, I would definitely recommend this wonderful doctor.

We visited Sarvodaya Hospital on 18/04/2026 for a consultation with Senior Dr. Jaidrath (ophthalmologist). Our experience was extremely disappointing. The doctor spoke to my mother very rudely without any reason. We spoke politely, but his behavior was disrespectful and cold.

My mother simply said that she had eye surgery 9 years ago and previously had double surgery, so she was a little worried. Instead of being understanding, the doctor sharply replied that if you are afraid, go to another doctor and do not say unnecessary things here. This was absolutely unprofessional, especially considering it was our first visit.

Such behavior is unacceptable for a doctor. Patients come with trust and anxiety, and such an attitude only makes the situation worse. After this experience, we have no confidence in continuing treatment with him.

We do not recommend this hospital if patients are received this way.

I booked an appointment for my mother through the online system, and the booking was confirmed by SMS. However, when I brought her to the hospital the next day, the staff said that Dr. Jaidrath Kumar (eye surgeon) was absent and all appointments had been canceled.

I was not warned about the cancellation either by message, by phone call, or in any other way, which caused significant inconvenience and wasted time and travel. When I pointed this out, the administrator at the billing desk and the doctor assistant, Mr. Vikash, spoke very rudely and demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and ethics in dealing with patients.

This was an extremely negative experience. The level of service is completely unacceptable; even one star is too many. Patients must be informed about changes in advance to avoid such situations.

I have very rarely met such doctors in my life.

Overall, my mother and I had a good experience with the other staff.
The only problem was with the billing manager.
I do not know his name; he was overweight and very rude, demanding extra money, talking about a service fee for staff and administration due to COVID-19.
I was not informed about this at the finance department when I was paying for the cataract surgery.

But in any case, my problem was solved by the doctor and the administration.

I had been suffering from cataracts in both eyes for the last 6 months.
Because of this, I had many difficulties working in the office, performing daily tasks, in road traffic, and in other matters of daily life.
I urgently needed cataract surgery.
I searched for a solution for a long time, consulted many people, and also searched on the Internet.
Then I realized that I could solve my problem at Nanavati Hospital.

I met Dr. Nikhil Sardar, an eye surgeon at Nanavati Hospital, and decided to have the surgery.

I would especially like to mention the specialists who performed exceptionally well: Dr. Vinaykumar Thapar, general surgeon, and his team; Dr. Pavitra Bhat, ophthalmologist; Shweta at the admissions desk; Varsha Sawant at the help desk; Pratap More from the radiology department.
Before starting treatment, I recommend discussing the estimated cost with your insurance company to understand what additional amount may be needed. I saw that many patients had difficulties obtaining full cashless approval from the insurance TPA.
The hospital's TPA department may need more staff, because at times the process feels complex and stressful for patients' relatives.

Very responsive and friendly staff, service is fast. Practically no delays or long waits before seeing the doctor.
I have been visiting this hospital since 2017 and have never had any reason to complain. I have mostly consulted the ophthalmology department with Dr. Pavitra S Bhat.
I keep coming back to her because she always knows how to reassure me with her words and a very attentive, humane approach. She is an excellent specialist, and her diagnoses are always accurate.
I went through very difficult periods with my eye and almost lost vision in one of them. But I trusted her recommendations, and thanks to that I managed to preserve not only my eye but also my peace of mind. My deepest gratitude to Dr. Bhat for her dedication to her work.

However, the parking cost is too high — 50 rupees, and finding a parking spot is difficult.

I started wearing glasses in 2015. Obviously, my vision deteriorated due to long-term work on a laptop.
This is the first doctor who advised relaxing the eye muscles — wearing glasses of weaker strength or no glasses at all while working.
Nearsighted eyes do not need optics for close objects. Now I use strong glasses only when driving or watching TV.
