Rehabilitation at Fizyomer Clinic after brain surgery. In short, the clinic’s specialists work miracles. In just three weeks, they helped a patient who could only walk a short distance with a walker begin walking freely without assistance and go up and down stairs with ease. Hand function, including fine motor skills, was restored. We could see the improvements happening before our eyes. I would like to thank the entire team led by Professor Turkan Tunerir and every specialist: doctors, nurses, cafeteria staff, cleaners, drivers, and assistants. The rehabilitation process is organized so that patients do not need to worry about anything except recovery: meals, accommodation, transfers, and the clinic stay are all carefully arranged. Kenan, the international patient coordinator, was always available, helped resolve every issue, and removed the language barrier through accurate interpretation. Professor Turkan examined the patient on the first day and then personally supervised the entire rehabilitation process. Our whole family thanks Dr. Huseyin, Dr. Gokan, and Dr. Ugur for their outstanding professionalism, attention, support, and continuous adjustment of the treatment to the patient’s condition.

The clinic is very attentive to its patients and is kept clean. Internal medicine specialist Dr. Hasan is excellent and highly professional; his many years of experience are evident. Thanks to him, I was able to stop the insulin injections I had used for years because of diabetes and bring the condition under control. Today I completed 30 physiotherapy sessions for a herniated disc, osteoarthritis, and spinal canal stenosis. At first, I could walk no more than ten meters without painkillers. My walking distance gradually increased; then I stopped taking painkillers and no longer needed the cane I sometimes had to use. I now feel much better than when I first came. Above all, I would like to thank Dr. Beyhan and Ms. Irem, who worked patiently with me through all 30 sessions 😊, as well as everyone at Fizyomer.

After my ankle had been in a cast for a month, its movement was restricted and I could not walk. I completed a 30-day course of treatment at Fizyomer and now feel very well. All my symptoms are gone, and I can walk freely again. My husband received treatment at Fizyomer Rehabilitation Clinic after a stroke. Choosing Fizyomer from among many clinics was the best decision we made. The staff are highly qualified and dedicated, and the clinic uses innovative methods. We felt as though we were part of a large family ready to help at every step. When he was admitted, my husband could not stand; after 21 days of physiotherapy, he could walk with a cane. This became possible thanks to the work and dedication of physiotherapists Huseyin, Tayyip, Gorkan, Bahar, and Sina. It was my first time at Bangkok International Hospital, and I was very impressed from the very first step and throughout my entire stay. Being ill on the day of an important anniversary was not the most pleasant experience, but the doctors, nurses, staff and the butler team of the 6BIH (Neurology) ward made this experience truly special.

We are very grateful and could not have wished for more. The entire hospital staff were polite, professional and extremely attentive. This truly deserves the highest praise.

All the nurses in ward 16D were wonderful. They showed great care, responded quickly to any request and made our stay in room D1618 as comfortable as possible. All the staff were excellent, but I would especially like to mention Alaylina, Pornthip, Laksika, Pattama, Warnaporn and Vilaiporn.

I am absolutely satisfied with my treatment experience at Bangkok Hospital and the Spine Center. I underwent a complex spinal surgery, and Dr. Vit, a spine surgeon, proved himself to be a true professional. He explained all stages of the treatment in detail and answered all my questions.

I am the mother of a patient who recently underwent scoliosis surgery, which was performed by Dr. Wit from the Spine Department. My daughter was admitted to ICU3, Building D for one day, and then continued her recovery at Ward 4, 4th Floor, BIH for an additional five days.
From the initial stages of pre-operative preparation, including the health check-ups with Dr. Thitirat and Dr. Pongpak, I was deeply moved by the attentiveness, thoroughness, and professionalism of all the medical personnel involved. Their dedication to minimizing risks and ensuring the best care for my daughter was clearly evident.
Prior to the surgery, I was extremely anxious, as it was a major procedure. However, once we were admitted to Ward 4, 4th Floor, BIH, I was comforted by the kind, gentle, and attentive nursing staff, whose warm care greatly eased my worries. Speaking with the doctor before the operation gave me even more confidence that my daughter would be in the safest and most capable hands.
Throughout my daughter’s stay, I witnessed firsthand the seamless teamwork and dedication among specialists from multiple departments: the Spine Team, Pediatricians, Pediatric Hematologists, Rehabilitation Physicians, Anesthesiologists, ICU Doctors, the Physical Therapy Team, along with the nurses in ICU3 and Ward 4, 4th Floor BIH — as well as the housekeeping team who kept everything impeccably clean. Everyone carried out their responsibilities with genuine care, compassion, and professionalism.
I truly believe that quality care must encompass both physical and emotional well-being. The exceptional care provided by everyone here significantly contributed to my daughter’s swift recovery and enhanced her overall well-being.
In addition, the operating room was equipped with the most advanced technology currently available, ensuring the highest standard of treatment. The ICU was fully prepared to provide intensive care, and the patient room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped — all of which offered great reassurance to both the patient and caregiver.

Our 3 year old daughter, was in this great hospital having a strong bacterial infection while on holidays in Thailand. Having to be here a few nights. In IV, antibiotics, blood exams. I can only thank the whole team that was supporting us. Everyone very caring and thoughtful. Her pediatrician was amazing as well. The check-up went smoothly, and the doctor explained everything clearly. However, I was charged for an additional treatment I hadn’t asked for and wasn’t told about. I was disappointed with the lack of transparency in the billing.

I have just had a surgery in Bangkok Hospital Phuket (wrist bone fracture and dislocation).

At first I was a bit surprised by the pricing (I didn’t really expect to get virtually the same quotation as in Shanghai..). To give an idea, the original estimation was 230K-300K for, basically, 36 hours at the hospital and a 1.5-hour surgery (it will be close to the lower mark in the end I guess – including pre-surgery expenses like CT and post-op which is ongoing). By the way, the deposit is paid on arrival before the surgery and is equal to the lower mark of the estimation, and then they bring detailed daily bills before noon.

After the surgery, I do understand where this price comes from.

First, the hospital itself: it’s a big, spacious, clean, well-designed and very well-equipped hospital. I felt I was staying in a hotel room: wooden pallets on the wall, wardrobe, big bathroom, sofa and armchair for my nearest and dearest, dining table, fridge, TV, cleaning, good AC, bedding etc. And nice food! Mind that I had a standard room.

Second, professionalism: this includes smart equipment, doing everything that’s necessary and not doing what’s not, perfectly organised and fast processes, explanations, clear instructions, etc.

Third, the staff: very polite and kind, caring, always on guard, always check patient’s state, reacting fast, and they all speak English (at least where it is necessary and to the extent that is necessary). I was very stressed before this experience as last time I had to stay at a hospital was at birth. Therefore, the way everything was handled made me feel as at ease as possible. Good environment and attitude are also very important for me.

So it’s totally a good value for money. Wonderful hospital!

A very beautiful and comfortable experience. The staff are very professional, warm and attentive — at the reception, in the restaurant, cleaning, by the pool and in the treatment center. Nothing is left unattended anywhere. Yoga and meditation are part of the program. We benefited greatly from the treatment and look forward to our next visit.

A very large, around-the-clock guarded territory. Clean and tidy paths. Almost all the infrastructure is inside the hotel. A large and comfortable restaurant, comfortable bungalows. Very convenient rooms for treatments. There is a large shop of ayurvedic goods and cosmetics on the grounds. The hotel is located on the coastline, but you need to go down to the beach. There is a lift for elderly and less mobile people. The hotel is not cheap, but the quality matches the price. We recommend it.

It was a good experience of staying and being treated at Somatheeram. The ayurvedic food and treatments were good. The doctors, therapists and all the staff are very friendly and pleasant people. The location and grounds are stunning and very well maintained. The ability to move freely between three areas is a big plus. I will come again.

A true ‘place for the soul’, an amazing connection with nature, almost paradise on earth. We spent 7 days with my wife in this beautiful place with greenery and a sea view. There were good treatments and massages, but there are important downsides: noise, loud music, lack of information about meals for companions, discrimination against smokers, uneven quality of service. I expected more silence and meditation.

The service and diagnostics were superficial. The treatment is standard, without an individual approach. There were also problems with the mandatory purchase of medications. There was a case with bedbugs, which the staff denied. Very disappointed.

Spent a week at Somatheeram with my mother for rest and massage. At the beginning there was a consultation with an ayurvedic doctor, who recommended a rejuvenation program. Every day there were short check-ups.
We noticed that for three days in a row we had the same massage, but the doctor explained this by the body’s reaction patterns.
The food is very tasty, with many buffet options, but after a week the flavors begin to repeat. The staff are well organized, and it was nice that the same therapists worked all week.
I recommend this place to those seeking natural recovery and ready to follow the rhythm of treatment.

Disappointment. Expectations of ayurveda were not met. It felt like a business, not traditional treatment.

A beautiful place, but a lot of insects and inconveniences.
The treatment is standard, without an individual approach.
The treatments are tiring, and the recovery is slow.

I had a very disappointing experience at Somatheeram. We had already bought a 3-day coupon and came to clarify the rooms. Manager Suesh was very rude and unhelpful from the very start. Instead of helping, he simply said there were no rooms and showed no desire to help.
What hurt us most was the clear difference in treatment: we were spoken to disrespectfully and offered worse rooms, while foreign guests were served much better and more politely, even though the staff themselves were Indians. This is unacceptable and unprofessional.
As paying guests, we expected respect and normal service. This experience left a very unpleasant impression, I do not recommend this place to those who value fair treatment.

I spent 2 weeks at the Panchakarma retreat center. Overall everything was good.
Positives: the staff are very friendly and attentive; the treatments were excellent (at least 2 hours every day); the food is tasty; a very beautiful location with a view of the sea from above; the beach loungers were reserved.
Negatives: poor sound insulation in the cottages, which made it impossible to turn on the noisy air conditioner at night; strong noise from the beach — church sounds at 5 a.m. every day and noise from the football stadium.

I had the privilege of visiting at Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort in Kovalam, and it was truly a transformative experience. Nestled amidst lush greenery and overlooking the serene Arabian Sea, this resort is a haven for those seeking tranquility and rejuvenation.

The villas were spacious and elegantly designed, blending traditional Kerala architecture with modern comforts. The staff were warm, courteous, and attentive to our needs.

The Ayurvedic treatments and massages were exceptional, with experienced therapists who tailored their expertise to our specific requirements. The yoga and meditation sessions were equally impressive, conducted by knowledgeable instructors who helped us connect with our inner selves.

The resort’s emphasis on sustainability, organic farming, and locally sourced products resonated deeply with me. The food was delicious, with a focus on traditional Kerala cuisine and Ayurvedic dietary principles.

Somatheeram Hospital and it’s employees made our holiday really relaxing. We had great massages every day and interesting ayurveda treatments which helped us completely distress and relax in this beautiful ayurveda hospital in a resort ambiance full of greenery. Every day we tried different local delicacies which was something totally new to us. All the employees of the hospital were friendly, helpful and smiling. We are looking forward to come again.

I stayed for 2 weeks to treat Ayurveda. This is the first time to visit. Most of the staff were very kind and the location was very good. I was introduced to this Centre by my friend. Next time if I have an opportunity to visit here, I want to visit again. But it was rainy season so the weather was bad most of every day.

Somatheeram was the perfect hospital with resort facilities for a yoga vacation. The infrastructure and staff were wonderful. I also met great people from France and Germany. This is an amazing hospital for Ayurvedic treatments. The stay was so relaxing and guests could hang out after the treatments in their green treatment gowns, turbans and face masks. It was even cool to go to dinner or lunch in this outfit, I highly recommend this Ayurvedic resort.

My wife and I spent two weeks at Somatheeram Ayurvedic Center. The main purpose of our visit was to take advantage of the Ayurvedic treatment provided by the internists and doctors of the hospital. Situated on top of a hill with greenery all around (almost like a botanical garden) and overlooking the Arabian Sea, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy daily massages and other oil treatments. Friendly and polite staff. Highly recommend to those who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Hotel has a very green and beautiful territory. But beware that it’s very hilly and you will have to go up and down all the time. We stayed in Special Garden Cottage category. All rooms look like authentic Kerala houses (if you like only modern style you may not like it) but it has everything you need. Even a flat tv set, air conditioner (for an extra charge), and all miscarry amenities in the bathroom. Shower again a bit old fashion but ok. I really liked the space near the cottage with the hammock. WIFI was there but I heard it wasn’t great in all rooms. In our it was ok. The beach is nice and empty. The hotel put its own free-of-charge sun loungers and umbrellas. There is also a guard on the beach who looks after your personal belongings. The sea was refreshing and wavy but I still like it. To get to the beach you have to go down and then up for 10 minutes on quite hard steps. It can be a bit tiring. The Ayurveda Center is nice. Have no complaints about doctors or therapists. They looked quite professional. But I took only a couple of procedures there. Since we were not on proper Ayurveda treatment I liked that in the restaurant there was an al carte option with a Western meal and meat options (unlike a pure vegetarian Ayurvedic buffet). In the evening they provide some light entertainment like Indian dancing or music here or in the Manaltheeram Hotel. I think it’s a good option for Ayurveda treatment and quite relaxing beach holidays.

My stay at Dr. Franklin’s Ayurvedic retreat in Kerala was truly transformative. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmth, care and genuine Indian hospitality. This is not a polished commercial spa service — it is something far more valuable: authentic, deeply healing and rooted in real Ayurvedic traditions.
The treatments were exceptional. Each therapy was performed with great skill and attention, with an individual approach to my needs. The doctors listened carefully, explained the principles of treatment in detail and adjusted the program precisely. The therapists were wonderful — intuitive, kind and very experienced.
The staff stand out in particular. There is a genuine atmosphere here that cannot be created artificially. Every employee radiates care and pride in their work.
The gardens are another strong point: green, peaceful, filled with tropical nature. Walks between treatments enhanced the feeling of recovery and harmony.
The main thing is authenticity. The food is traditional, the atmosphere is simple, everything is based on real Ayurveda and not on trendy spa fads.
I left feeling light, healthy and deeply grateful.

My husband and I stayed for 9 days and we were very well looked after. The treatments were amazing and the therapists were professional, caring and friendly. When I had emotional burnout, I was advised to spend 21 days at Dr Franklin. I trusted completely. In the end I got exactly what I needed to restore balance.

My trip was wonderful, I’ve probably never had one like it. Whether I was so morally open that I went with the flow, there were no hitches anywhere.

At the Franklin Clinic, everything is very simple, no frills. Perfectly normal accommodation, the first floor was very good in that it did not heat up.
We looked at the new building (across the road), we did not like it. The old building is somehow better – more soulful. But there we went to the pool.

It is a pity, of course, that there is no direct access to the sea. It’s a 10 minute walk to it. The beach is very dirty, just crap, and the sea was dirty. That is, all these moments, yes, they were, but … I tried to be above all this.

The clinic staff sometimes unpleasantly surprised me with their forgetfulness. In the process, they remembered something, but they could also forget to bring a suitcase, put wet wipes, and so on.
The waiters are, of course, cool. Took the order and left, may not come. Maybe he will return and bring the order, maybe he will not return, who has what kind of karma. Or no one at all for half an hour, and then another may come and take the same order.

I liked the Ayurvedic food. Of course, it is specific. The portions are small, but I think they are enough. True, some began to howl and go to Kovalam, but I was fine.
The procedures were done once a day. And of course yoga in the morning, with many varieties, but not very good, because there was a yoga master who taught individual classes for many years, and gave the group classes to another teacher and he somehow cheated. We went to yoga a couple of times – we didn’t like it.

There were complaints about this yoga master. But now the guys write that yoga has become better, apparently the complaints have worked.

Dr. Sony Joseph (aka Dr. Franklin’s son-in-law) is a good doctor, only he takes the first and last consultation, and that’s it. For absolutely all other issues, there are 2 doctors on duty, working in turn, for three days.

All attendants speak quite broken English and generally know 5 words each, i.e. people get a little lost because of this. But there is always one of the translators – Sunil.

The treatment, of course, was … but it did not give the full effect, because somehow it turned out to be not enough for me, although in general the treatment process is good. When the process started, I really liked everything. She returned to life and the stress was gone. After all, I specifically went to shoot it in recent years.

I visited Dr. Franklin’s clinic last year. No one actually treats anything there. The same treatment protocol is used for everyone. Naively, I brought my medical records with me — they didn’t even look at them and later couldn’t find them at all. The meals are the same for everyone: a shared menu where each person orders whatever they want. Overall, it’s just a pleasant spa retreat and nothing more.

We came to Dr. Franklin’s clinic for the second time. Compared to the previous visit in December 2012, the hotel area has become larger and more beautiful – many trees, exotic plants. But there were many guests. There were several types of rooms in the center. We chose a small villa in the new area and it was good. The treatment was as effective as before. And Chowara is a great place – good people, ocean, Kovalam beach and Trivandrum very close, daily morning yoga, delicious healthy food. So we had a good rest and recovered!

I found this Ayurvedic clinic on a recommendation and Dr. Franklin has the best value for money in the area, they provide you with excellent medical care and herbal massages.
The best time is from October to Christmas.

Excellent clinic for a cleansing course.
There are a small territory, modest accommodation, buildings in different territories. The new building is located across the road from the clinical building and the main hotel area. The new territory has a swimming pool and air-conditioned rooms.
The old territory is small, but neatly decorated with flower beds and lawns.
The hotel (clinic) has a laboratory and all those who arrive are given a blood test before prescribing treatment.
Meals are vegetarian, tasty, strictly according to the dose prescribed by the doctor.
The procedures last 2.5 -3 hours and are divided into morning and evening.
All vacationers practice yoga.
It is desirable to undergo a course of treatment (cleansing) for at least 14 days, but 21 day is better.
In conclusion, this is not a holiday hotel, but a full-fledged clinic.
The mood should be for getting results.
