Mitral valve prolapse treatment

My diagnosis is mitral valve insufficiency. It is impossible to cure without surgery. Therefore, I decided to have surgery in Turkey. I had surgery at Antalya Memorial Hospital. The intervention was performed by Professor Hussein Okutan. Everything went well. There were no serious complications after prosthetics. Of course, the recovery period took a little longer. Thanks to the medical team for their responsible approach and professionalism. Now I can return to normal life!

Lately I have been suffering from shortness of breath. The doctor ordered an echocardiogram, which showed problems with the heart, or more precisely, with the valve. The question arose about replacing it. My son insisted that the operation be performed on me in Israel, and he made an agreement with the doctors at the Ichilov clinic. There I first underwent a re-examination, after which they set a day for the operation and began to prepare me for it. The prosthesis was placed using a catheter, which was inserted into the femoral artery. I was under the supervision of a doctor for a day, after which I was transferred to a regular ward. I spent only a few days in the clinic after the operation, then I was observed for a while as an outpatient and was discharged. I would like to express my gratitude to my doctor Ilan Kitsis for his golden hands and to the nursing staff for their patience and care towards me.

My mother was diagnosed with rheumatism. The disease affected the heart – endocarditis developed. Replacement of the mitral heart valve was required.
