His open and cordial attitude to the patient creates an atmosphere of confidence from the first meeting. The surgery was excellent and successful, I highly recommend Prof. Bolotin. He is very professional, patient and attentive to patients, explains everything and answers questions. From the point of view of the staff - the stitches were not done very well, and now there are complications. Also, the ward has unprofessional nurses - they do not explain or give clear instructions on discharge, they used sticky tape which resulted in a real wound (the scar is still there!).

First of all, I want to thank Prof. Bolotin from the bottom of my heart for his professional service and polite, patient attitude. I would like to mention two aspects of the service: on the one hand, the important thing for me was the human and polite attitude from the first meeting with Prof. Bolotin and the appropriate explanation of the surgery I was about to undergo. As someone who has never been through hospitalization or surgery, I felt comfortable and relaxed after my consultation with Professor Gil. On the other hand, the professional attitude and commitment to the best results was equally important. I had a successful surgery and recovered faster than I expected. It was a very positive experience, welcoming reception with a smile and calm, making you feel like you've come to the right place. Answered all questions. They keep to the schedule, the patient is not waiting and this creates a pleasant impression. Professor Bolotin came to see me after the operation, he was interested in my condition every day. I could always contact his assistant via WhatsApp and she would relay the message and he would call me if necessary. I felt I could reach out if needed and felt safe and reassured. I was recommended to Gil Bolotin by a young doctor at Emek Hospital in Afula. He entered my room after catheterization and said: “You should go to Prof. Bolotin for a second opinion”. Prof. Bolotin received me two days later, we had a long consultation. We talked about my case, the expected surgery and its results. Prof. Bolotin answered all my questions with infinite patience and provided a lot of information about the surgery options. The surprising phrase I heard was: “Don't worry, this is state medicine, you don't have to pay!” (I had exactly the question: how much do I have to pay?!). He then prepared my referral for surgery, notified the ward secretary of the decision, and made sure he was the one to perform the surgery. During my hospitalization, before the surgery, Professor Bolotin invited me for a personal conversation, explained the expected surgery and reassured me. After the surgery, he presented the results of the surgery to my family. Before discharge, he made sure to communicate with me personally and in detail. I was impressed with the openness, compassion and professionalism I encountered. I underwent a successful bypass surgery. The surgery was a complete success, my body is working beautifully, the scar is minimal and I feel that I was treated professionally and humanely. I feel I spent a week under professional supervision after the surgery and hospitalization. In retrospect it was a great decision, both in choosing a doctor and choosing a department.

Gil Bolotin’s scientific work covers a wide range of topics in cardiac surgery, including a comparative study of the risk of embolism and cognitive impairment in surgical and transcatheter aortic valve replacement, as well as the development and evaluation of innovative devices and techniques, such as the mitral valve retractor, and studies of venous shunt patency improvement after aorto-coronary bypass. In addition, Bolotin’s work concerns the use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), assessment of cytokine levels during surgery, robotic procedures, and thermoregulation to minimize myocardial damage.
