Rehabilitation for cerebral palsy

Specialist in physical rehabilitation. Served as Deputy Chief Physician at Selçuk University, An assistant professor at Adnan Menderes University. He is working since  December  2017  in Nobel Medical Center.

Specialization is associated with the assessment, consultation and selection of the correct restorative treatment for neurological and orthopedic disorders.

Applied therapeutic approaches may be traditional (physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy) or robotic such as Lokomat, Exoskeleton and Armeo, which are used individually or in combination depending on the needs of patients.
The vast majority of patients require rehabilitation after neurological and orthopedic diseases (recent strokes, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, polyneuropathy, myopathy, cerebral palsy, injuries of the musculoskeletal system).
In addition, the doctor’s interests include the treatment and monitoring of spasticity, botulinum toxin injections, the treatment of neurogenic urinary disorders, the use of intermittent catheterizations, the evaluation and selection of appropriate aids (wheelchairs, orthoses, etc.), monitoring the nutrition of patients, etc.

Dr. Dasyopulu participates in various medical congresses and has a significant number of scientific projects.

She graduated from the medical faculty of the Aristotle State University  in Thessaloniki in 1993.

With experience of more than 7,000 patients, he continues to follow the principles of individualized special therapy for orthopedic and neurological problems, muscle spasticity, practices botulinum toxin injection methods, as well as baclofen pump, for the treatment of neurogenic bladder and intestines, dysphagia, difficulty swallowing and eating disorders , patients who have had a stroke and brain injury, suffering from multiple sclerosis, dementia, cancer, Parkinson’s disease, etc. He also works with injections in the treatment of osteoarthritis, conducts postoperative orthopedic rehabilitation.

Ms. Mouza has participated in several international congresses, seminars, trainings, workshops both in Greece and abroad, and lectured on the above topics.

Athanasios Evangeliou, MD, a pediatrician specializing in pediatric neurology and hereditary metabolic diseases, works in the pediatric department of the AGIOS LUKAS clinic.

EDUCATION

Dr. Evangeliou Athanasios graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Athens in 1980 and trained in pediatrics and pediatric neurology at the University Hospitals of Bern in Switzerland and Heidelberg in Germany.

He subsequently trained in metabolic disease and dietary interventions for metabolic disease at Northwestern University Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

He returned to Europe as Head of the Department of Metabolic Diseases at the University Hospital for Pediatrics in Frankfurt, and in 1995 returned to Greece, first as an Associate Professor at the Medical School of the University of Crete, where he established the Department of Neurogenetic Diseases.

In 2007, he was elected Associate Professor of Child Neurology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he is currently Professor of Child Neurology.

Since 2007, Dr. Evangeliou has been working at the AGIOS LUKAS clinic.

He created special departments for the ketogenic diet, multiple sclerosis, spinal muscular atrophy, childhood multiple sclerosis, and hereditary metabolic diseases.

Dr. Evangeliou has a strong interest in dietary interventions for neurodegenerative disorders, especially in patients with autism, epilepsy, and brain tumors.

Dr. Hariklya Prios is an American specialist in the field of speech therapy. Currently works in Thessaloniki. She is an associate professor in the field of neurocognitive disorders and rehabilitation at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki.

Researcher at the Laboratory of Cognitive Neuropsychology at Harvard University, speech therapist at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, clinical associate professor at Boston University. In 2000, she became a researcher at the Department of Neuropsychology at the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital of Zurich.

Dr. Prios’ main research area is rehabilitation after neurological damage, including adult aphasia. Her clinical interests include aphasia, swallowing studies (videofluoroscopy), voice diagnosis, swallowing and speech disorders.
