Treatment in Poland

Last week I consulted with Dr. Laskovski (podiatrist) about my hips because I was unhappy with my current UK treatment and I wanted a second opinion. Dr. Laskowski was very attentive and he was also able to quickly arrange blood tests, X-rays and MRI, as I was traveling on purpose and was in Warsaw for only a couple of days.
The hospital itself is very modern and immaculately clean. I chose this hospital because it is orthopedic and is specialized in sport medicine. Moreover, prices are much lower than in the UK.
I was able to make an appointment very quickly and my visit was arranged through Danuta Milanovska (who deals with patients from abroad and also speaks excellent English!)

I liked the Clinic very much. We came from Belarus with a child for a consultation with Dr. Zdanovich. Mrs Danuta met me in the clinic. She helped us with a paperwork at the registration desk as well as she accompanied us to the doctor and helped with translation. Doctor Zdanovich explained everything very clearly. We were very satisfied. We felt the professional approach to the client. Everything is at the highest level. Thank you for your promptness and attentiveness.

The visit to the clinic went well. We went only for a consultation. It was also our first time in the clinic, so we don’t have much experience to share. Overall, the visit went well. I would especially like to note our coordinator Danuta. She was with us everywhere and helped with everything.

Very professional and personalized service, I did ankle surgery, the result is excellent. Satisfied with the hospital stay. I recommend!

Thanks to the hospital for the high-quality arthroscopy of the knee joint. I was satisfied with the medical services, although I was surprised that the clinic did not provide an interpreter, fortunately there are many friends in Warsaw who helped with translations.

Dr. Lazorko operated on me last week. I am very satisfied with the operation and stay in the ward. The doctor is undoubtedly a master of his craft. All the staff of the department, both doctors and nurses, are people of great heart and great responsiveness. Despite such a large-scale operation as hip arthroplasty, I did not feel pain. As soon as I asked for pain medication, it was immediately provided to me. I am very happy with my stay and everything that goes with it. The rooms are very comfortable. A few months ago, I had surgery, more specifically, I had a cruciate ligament tear and meniscus alignment. I am personally afraid of treatment and operations and this was my first treatment. Everything was organized and went well. My knee is in working order, and now I’m back to riding a motorcycle, I was operated on by Dr. Beletsky. I highly recommend this hospital ✋

A very modern hospital with very good equipment and a qualified team of doctors and nurses. Many thanks to Dr. Walery Sienkiel, a wonderful specialist. After spinal surgery with this doctor, I feel great. After two hours, I was able to get out of bed without much pain. Modern room with air conditioning, bathrooms in each room. Everywhere is clean and tidy. The food is good, served in disposable hermetically sealed containers. Highly recommend Holy Family High Specialty Hospital.

Pan Jakub Perdeus removed part of my lung. He has a very good and calm approach to the patient, he knows his job as a thoracic surgeon very well. Thanks to his surgery, I got rid of lung cancer and now have clean, cancer-free lungs. I recommend Dr. Perdeus to patients!

Everything went well. Planned surgery, orthopedics. Four people are accommodated in the ward, a bathroom is near the room. Absolutely clean. Pleasant and friendly service, a doctor with a great sense of humor. On the first day, hospitalization, the next – a quick operation, then discharge. Today, two days later, everything is just fantastic. The anesthesiologist is very good, the anesthesia began to go away just a few minutes after the end of the operation. I will not say that I want to return, but if I had to, then only here.

In June, she was in the neurology department. I am very satisfied with this stay. The staff is friendly, polite, everything is prompt and fast, experienced doctors, clean rooms and toilets. Patient care at the highest level. Delicious coffee at the bar. I recommend!

During the conversation, my late grandmother asked me to give a positive review for this hospital, so I am doing her will. Grandmother visited some of these hospitals and always mentioned Holy Family in Rudna. Her words in the last conversation with me were the following: “Everyone should go there to study and learn how to find an approach to people”. These words showed that very responsive and professional people work there. So thank you for your concern and sympathy, I believe that my grandmother’s opinion was constructive. I recommend it to everyone from the bottom of my heart.

I highly recommend this hospital, namely the department of thoracic surgery, I stayed there for a week and compared to other hospital, this hospital is really good, the doctors take care of the patients, the nurses are very nice and you can see that they love their job.

I recently had knee surgery. The doctors are very good, the procedure went flawlessly. Unfortunately, I rate the ward nurses at 3 minus. The rehabilitator acted as if he enjoyed hurting someone.

I flew in from Ireland to get my foot surgery done at this clinic. I have to say that the only reason I am here to post my review is because of the amazing job that Karina, the coordinator, did to do my surgery, I have never seen a woman who works so hard and takes care of patients with extreme patience. I had surgery before in another hospital, but I have never seen anyone treat patients so well. I would also like to thank the nurse Olivia, she is great, she communicates with patients and makes sure we have the best care after surgery.

I will definitely come back to have another surgery with them.

Nice place, expected results obtained, but there’re a few twists 🙂

Pluses: Very nice and friendly staff, pretty short notice for getting an appointment, quick result delivery, especially in comparison with Germany.

Possible improvements: most of the staff speak primarily polish, so you need to have at least some basic level of it; even knowing some basics of the language, I sometimes did not understand what’s going on; also I had to spend way more time at the hospital than originally planned, to cover all the treatments. Which is fine, I got the expected results in the end. But you should plan the time accordingly. The final bill also turned out to be way higher than originally calculated. Would be good to communicate all the issues around the price upfront

What made my experience great?

From start to finish this was a seamless experience, the initial handling and arranging a surgery date, to the KMC driver being there at the airport to picking you up, the clinic was efficient and prompt, everything is run like clockwork. I would and have recommend KCM Clinic to everyone and anyone who wants to listen. My friend recommended them and filled me with confidence prior to.my decision to undergo surgery. Everything was a plus. I’m almost 5 weeks post-op and had absolutely no complications, I’m healing well. We have a support group for questions afterwards and these guys have been a blessing to understand and stay on track.

Professional operation, more detailed information could be useful

The operation itself was professional. The outcome was positive.

The schedule of the measurement day (MRI, blood, heart, etc.) and operation day was a bit unclear and more info on these days could be useful for non-polish-speaking people. After the operation, the patient should have written instructions for the first 2 weeks. Traveling to Jelenia Gora is not the easiest one when you have back pain, since there is no airport in the town. Transport to the nearest airport was available.

I went to the KCM clinic to do diagnostic tests for both me and my partner. In the UK, these tests are atrociously expensive privately, while KCM offers a great price for the service. Widyane, our international coordinator, did an exceptional job in making sure we did all the tests and she was always there for us ready to help. The clinicians and staff speak well in English and are very nice. Overall great experience.

I had a gastric sleeve and l have not looked back

The operation was very successful l had a gastric sleeve done and I have absolutely no complaints or complications. The size of the showers in the rooms are tiny and none of the nurses spoke English and at times l felt they were very rude and abrupt. The car service to take us to and from the airport was excellent. Be prepared for the pre op examination’s it can take a whole day but they are very thorough. The hotel was nice l wasn’t there for a holiday I had the surgery that I so badly needed and I have not looked back. I am so grateful for the job that they did so l would definitely recommend it to anyone who is thinking of having any kind of surgery.

Just because it’s private don’t expect 5 star!

Hospital is clean, surgical staff are wonderful and very caring as are the nurses and care coordinators. However language barrier from nurses looking after you before and after surgery can sometimes prove difficult. Rooms are very basic, TV has no English speaking channels, shower in very very tiny and the grounds the hospital are set in doesn’t seem to be what is advertised on their website.

I used the nurse call bell on 2 occasions both times it took the nursing staff and extremely long time and on the 2nd occasion I had a very embarrassing yet unavoidable accident in the bed which left me feeling very ashamed of myself and upset.

Overall would I go back…. Yes I probably would, but I would need to brush up on my polish and ensure I had a bed pan close by!!!

Great care when in hospital for operation, aftercare brilliant. Clean hospital and lovely town. 1 star was knocked off as the tests you go for before operation need to be done a lot more efficiently as you can be left for hours waiting on a doctor. Other than that was really good.

Definitely recommend this clinic, for any surgery’s, spotless clean, very attentive, 24 hr service.

I got breast reduction, I’d no pain, just it weak and sore. I was up and about the next day. Taking it easy tho.

I wouldn’t hesitate and going back if needed.

Hello, I had a second surgery on November 23, 2024 as I suffer from otosclerosis. The care both before and after the operation was of the highest level. Prof. H. Skarzyński is a real miracle worker, he took me out of the world of silence, because I was completely deaf. The place is like a fairy tale. I would also like to express my special gratitude to Dr. R. My child had an ear drainage and tonsil removal. I was informed about everything at every stage, the doctors, nurses and all the staff were professional, polite and competent. I felt in safe hands and I think it is a great place to be. The rooms are comfortable, the food is delicious, and at any time I could ask for help or advice. Almost like a vacation! 😉

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Gvizdalska for the professionally performed surgery for maxillary sinus clearing and balloon dilatation of the eustachian tube.
I am writing such a positive review also because I once underwent a similar operation, and the difference in postoperative sensations is huge – the absence of tamponade made the recovery absolutely comfortable, without any traumatic experiences.

I highly appreciate all the staff I encountered, especially the kind and helpful nurses and staff of the department, as well as doctors.

The conditions of stay were excellent – cleanliness, proper nutrition, and most importantly, I observed an incredibly caring and warm attitude to children on the part of the staff. Conversations with young patients were filled with kindness.

The care at Medincus Hospital is top notch!
The nurses and staff are incredibly friendly, caring and empathic towards the young patients and their parents.
We were kept informed of everything at every stage of our stay and provided comprehensive care during this stressful time.

The doctors are the best of the best, the medical care is top notch.
My son was prepared for the surgery without stress, I could be with him until the very last moment before the procedure and immediately after. The child’s lack of stress accelerated his recovery.

The whole process from consultation to surgery and discharge was perfectly organized.

I recommend a visit to Iwona Zarzycka, hearing care specialist.
She welcomed my mom, an elderly woman with severe hearing loss, very warmly and matched her with the right hearing aids and earmolds.
Iwona explained everything from start to finish, slowly, calmly and in a way that was age-appropriate. Mom had had negative experiences with previous hearing aids and was initially skeptical about the new devices.
In the end she was satisfied and happy that everything worked and her quality of life improved.

This place is not associated with a hospital at all.
Great organization, wonderful care, incredibly friendly staff.
From the intake, then the entire surgery procedure, follow-up care and discharge – everything was just perfect.

Despite the unequivocally negative experience with my child’s hearing aid at one of the Medincus branches and the general very mass approach characteristic of this network, I would like to wholeheartedly recommend Iwona Tomaszewska-Gert as a technician who performs night ABR examinations at the patient’s home in Świętokrzyskie and Mazowieckie voivodeships. She is a very dedicated specialist, a kind, patient person and always gives advice to the best of her knowledge. She pays special attention to the well-being of a small patient, who is not just a “client” for her.

I have Tinnitus and the answers I got there are the same of my phones apps, hearing loss and tinnitus.

I spent 495 pln for the consultation plus 285 for two test.

Doctor looked at the hearing test result and said: just like in your app!

For that money they don’t even offer an expresso 😂.

At the end the doctor talks about three options for treating Tinnitus, one is the hearing aids, another is something you put in your ears for stimulation and the third is Lenire, and tongue stimulator.

The hearings aids are only white noise, you can easily find white noise at different frequencies on YouTube, but if you prefer the aids, they costs 7k pln EACH!!!

I tested the hearing aids and honestly it’s a pathetic option, at least for my case! They let you take it for 10 days to test it, but I gave up when I saw the price. Truth is that it won’t cure or reverse Tinnitus, is much more likely that it go away, in parts, by itself.

Oh by the way, I had a visit schedule at 5pm and still there was about three people in front of me, but that didn’t take more than 15 minutes.

Along with Tinnitus I have a lot of headaches, but the doctor didn’t prescribe anything to me (Donuta).

To sum up, if you have tinnitus I believe a regular laryngologist should do the job.

I read a lot of reviews and don’t understand what they are talking about. The center is great, everything is prompt, clear and patient-centered. I contacted the international department. I was scheduled for a consultation and surgery. At the appointed time, I was operated on.
Commentators do not look at what they leave for the private clinic Medincus when talking about the international speech hearing center.

There was a man (a Pole) in the ward with me, and he said that he had surgery at Medincus, not at the state center, because there were very long queues.
