Professor Umit Koc is a qualified gastroenterologist from Turkey. His specialization includes the surgical treatment of a wide range of abdominal and intestinal diseases, such as benign and malignant tumors of the digestive system, congenital malformations, cholelithiasis, and others. Umit Koc also performs bariatric surgery for obese patients who have not been successful with standard weight loss methods. His surgical interventions include laparoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, gastric bypass surgery, and stomach injections of Botox. In his practice, Umit Koc makes extensive use of modern minimally invasive methods, performing laparoscopic and robotic surgeries. As part of the Da Vinci Robotic Surgery certification program, he has performed more than 100 surgical procedures using the robot to remove gastrointestinal tumors and approximately 400 bariatric surgeries at the Antalya Teaching and Research Hospital.
