At the end of January 2023, I had a sleeve gastrectomy with Dr. Muhammed Zubeir Uchunja. I chose the Novemed doctor and clinic based on reviews. I was greeted professionally at the hospital, this clinic has good translators.
I am satisfied with the results of the operation. It’s been 5 months now and I haven’t had any major problems. I am very satisfied with the way everything was organized, the surgery itself, the professional staff, the follow-up and the result. The nutritionist (Sumeira) was in touch before and after surgery and was responsive and knowledgeable. Doctor Muhammed is a calm person. The medical staff was attentive and friendly. I knew I was in good hands. The only downsides were the small wards and the unexpected cost of the additional procedure, which I wasn’t warned about, but they listened to my objections and waived it. Overall, I would have another surgery with them, and would recommend them to friends and family.

I went for a gastric sleeve October 2022. From the moment I enquired to now (6 months post op) I have had constant guidance and reassurance.

Didn’t know what or how will I feel the aftermath… It’s important to note the care of consultant who ensured that I was well received and everything ran smoothly throughout my stay in Istanbul. Then met the translator took me through everything to be done on the day until operation. Dr Derici did a splendid job and the nutritionists all played their roles with care & how my lifestyle will be like going forward. Two nights spent at hospital was such a wonderful experience since the nurses did their best taking care of me even went beyond expectations by translating with phones to ensure I understood what was happening and ensured I was relaxed.
