Thanks to your high level of professionalism, responsibility and kind attitude towards patients, I felt completely safe and well cared for.
During my stay on the 9th floor, I was especially impressed by the cleanliness and calm atmosphere of the rooms, as well as the tasty and well-prepared food. I am also sincerely grateful to the kind nurses who always welcomed me warmly, and to the assistants who cared for the patients with great attention and compassion.
I am deeply grateful for all your care and kindness. I wish you good health, success in your work and happiness in your families. Your dedication to saving lives and caring for people is truly priceless and highly appreciated.

Dear Professor Halil Alış and your esteemed team,
I sincerely thank you for the thoroughness, professional competence and humane approach at every stage of the operation performed on April 21 at Liv Hospital Topkapı, and of the subsequent care. During the four days of my hospital stay I felt safe both medically and humanely; this feeling was the most valuable part of the recovery process.

I would especially like to thank the nurses who were on duty in my room — Beste, Özlem, Nur, Melis and Eray. The kindness, patience, friendliness and attentive care of each of them not only eased my days in the hospital but also clearly showed what team spirit should be. I felt they were there even in the most difficult moments.

Today, being discharged, I wanted to express my gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and hospital staff who helped me restore my health. Health to your hands, your work and your hearts.

Due to the illness of my 9-month-old child, we were admitted by Doctor Melike, who was a very attentive physician; then our treatment was continued by Doctor Aslan, who carefully monitored the course of the illness, and I extend my gratitude to her from here; however, we are absolutely dissatisfied with the inpatient department on the 6th floor — the cleaners literally get into verbal arguments with you, there are few nurses, and when you call them, they don’t come right away. I even had to monitor my daughter’s breathing myself and report it to them. On the last night, despite the additional oxygen, the nurse neither brought oxygen nor came to check. I also thank Doctor Demet and Doctor Şeyma, who also took great care of my daughter.

Diagnosis: Pre-operative preparation

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hospital. Although the facility itself looks luxurious, the quality of service and the professionalism of the staff turned out to be far below expectations.

I spent 24 hours at the hospital accompanying my 73-year-old mother, who was preparing for a major operation. During this time the temperature in the room was constantly very high and uncomfortable. I repeatedly raised this issue with the nursing staff, and each time I was told that a technician would be called. Unfortunately, no action was taken. As a result, my mother could not sleep all night and did not get the rest she needed before the operation, which is extremely worrying.

In addition, many staff were unprofessional in their behavior and communication. There were also hygiene problems, including a strong smell of cigarettes and bad breath, which created an uncomfortable environment for patients and their families. In a medical facility — especially one where serious procedures are performed — standards of professionalism and hygiene should be a priority.

I chose this hospital believing it would provide the highest level of care and professionalism for my mother’s critical operation. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing and did not meet the standards expected of a hospital with such a reputation.

Diagnosis: Surgical operation

Yesterday I had an operation at this hospital. First of all, I want to note that in the pre-operative period, the tests, ECG and preparation were carried out by nurses who were extremely attentive and helpful. My doctor was also very experienced in his field and inspired confidence.

However, in the post-operative period we encountered failures.

After the operation, around 12:00-12:30, I was transferred to the room and was soon told that they would bring food, after which I could be discharged. However, until 14:30 the food was still not brought. During this time, despite numerous attempts to get information, we experienced a difficult communication process. The floor nurse said that if we pressed the emergency call button, an employee would come, and then she left the floor. For our basic needs — food, a pillow — we received no response for some time. The air conditioner suddenly began blowing cold air, and this too went unaddressed for a while.

The area we were in was not adapted for an accompanying person to enter, so entry and exit were done by card. This made it difficult for my companion to go outside to ask for help and made communication very difficult.

Experiencing all this, we tried to explain the situation to each other by the fact that it was the eve of a holiday and the hospital was working half a day. However, in the end, for me as a patient who had undergone surgery, constantly having to seek help in these processes was quite exhausting.

Therefore, I consider it very important to improve the processes of post-operative care, communication and access to basic needs.

The attention is okay, however there is this situation:

A month ago I had a general check-up and indicated that there was general pain and stabbing in my heart and left side. After the checks, I was told there was no problem. They said everything looked normal. However, both for the month before the check-up and for the month after it up to today, there is still pain on the left side, periodic numbness/stabbing in the arm. I did the check-up precisely to understand the cause of this problem, but it is still unclear what it is.

I will be forced to re-check elsewhere; the amount we paid was partly paid in vain. Health to you 🙂

First of all, endless gratitude to our esteemed Doctor Taner Yiğit and the team that assisted him ❤️ I want to thank the nurses Bereket Kaya and Sema for their attention and care.

If I evaluate the hospital as a whole, we were satisfied with the cleanliness, hygiene and attention. I only want to note — among the drawbacks is the absence of a canteen; the inability to get tea and coffee at will upset us. On Sunday I enthusiastically went downstairs as a companion — the café was closed? People come from far away, may be unprepared, may not know about online purchases. I would have liked to at least have the option to get tea, coffee, or at least a drinks vending machine near the hot water…
With love.

Diagnosis: Laparoscopic removal of a dermoid cyst

Due to the torsion of my 7 cm dermoid cyst, after 2 days of severe pain at Çam and Sakura hospitals and other emergency visits, a decision was made for surgery, and, I won’t lie, the information about the process was given quite unconvincingly. As a result of my research, we met the gyneco-oncologist Professor İsmet Alkış, and this became one of the greatest pieces of luck in my life. The cyst, about which they said “we’ll do open surgery, remove the ovary if necessary, maybe it’s an endometrioma, we don’t know whether it twisted or not,” and which had twisted my ovary three times and almost led to its gangrene, he successfully removed by laparoscopic method. I kiss the hands of our professor, who does not deprive his patients of fatherly warmth. Before and after the operation they did not leave my side — like a warm friend, first of all the midwife Gizem, then the nurses Duygu and Emine, who were with me at every moment I needed anything; a big thank you to everyone who met me at the operating room door with a smile and likewise saw me off with a smile. I don’t understand the reason for the other bad reviews about the hospital, even though this is a new hospital, a professional team, and cleanly working and dedicated cleaning staff work in full readiness. I don’t regret having entrusted Professor İsmet with my health and life. 🥰

Diagnosis: Emergency appointment

In a word — an “insufficient” hospital experience.

First of all, I thank the doctor for his attention and approach. No complaints about that. However, the same cannot be said about the conditions at the hospital.

I went to the emergency room. On the emergency floor there was no drinking fountain; I was told that to find water I had to go up to the upper floor. Likewise, we did not see a trash bin on the floor. The observation area was a bit off to the side from where the doctor was, and there was no sign. They said “at the end of the corridor,” but it wasn’t there either — I had to ask and search.

When I was lying in the observation area, blood needed to be drawn. I waited for a while, then blood was taken with a needle. Since this is a private hospital, shouldn’t there be an automatic tube-filling system? The fact that the draw is done with a needle and then poured into tubes manually seemed a bit primitive to me. If this method is medically necessary, a brief patient explanation could have been given.

My complaints were nausea, dizziness and a temperature above 38°C. I was on the verge of vomiting, but I had to wait about half an hour for an IV. Finally the IV was placed. During this time my companion again went upstairs to find water, but there was no water there either. They said water was only available on the 6th floor. The night manager was called; he, thankfully, came very quickly and quickly brought water. However, this shouldn’t even have been necessary.

I can’t say I got a very effective result from the treatment. When I got home, the temperature dropped to 37.5°C, but the nausea intensified again, and at night I vomited. Honestly, I think that if the IV hadn’t been placed — there wouldn’t have been much difference.

Once again I thank the doctor for his attention, the night manager for his solution-oriented approach, and the medical staff for their work. However, my overall experience was very bad.

And lastly — during night hours the parking service is not yet provided, but there are parking spots in the vicinity.

An adequate hospital, good location, good attention. However, I had a 2nd operation because I caught an infection — what caused it, for what reason it happened, is unclear, so I can’t blame anyone, it could have been because of me. The guys in the operating room — communication is very good; I recommend you not take general anesthesia if you can — get numbed below the waist 😊 Brother Süleyman.

My doctor Associate Professor Kadir İlker Yıldız — attention 10/10, thank you very much.

The nurses on the night shift of the 5th floor were very attentive, they came even without being called and did what was necessary — monitoring of the process was very good. A big thank you to nurse Kübra for her attention. For my first operation I don’t know the name of the nurse who was on duty at night — December 2 on the night shift, dark-haired, if I’m not mistaken, with a tattoo on her arm — I also thank this nurse separately, she was very, very attentive.

Friends, let’s clarify: this is a hospital, and parking problems — in my opinion this is very wrong. If you have money — give it to the valet, if not — walk and look for a spot. You can’t bash the hospital like that because of parking. The car wasn’t damaged, was it? After you gave it to the valet, bash the valet company. I consider these to be incorrect reviews.
No drinking fountain? The men’s and women’s toilets are the same, dirty? No. Are they broken or designed for the disabled? No. So there’s no problem. You really love to exaggerate.

5th floor — the best room is 508, friends, for your information 😊

Diagnosis: Cesarean section

Unfortunately, we had an experience that we went into with great hopes but that ended in many disappointments. A hospital with serious problems; however, there is also very dedicated staff — especially many of the nurses on the maternity floor work with very great dedication and friendliness, despite, as they say, the pittance the private sector pays them. However, no one monitors who enters and leaves the floors; you can wander around waving your arms. The rooms are incredibly hot, the newborns turn to mush in the rooms. Another serious point — of course the company operates with a money-oriented mindset, and although I try to understand this, after my wife’s cesarean section she developed a likely complication that drained her strength, and when we requested checks and consultations — we were asked for money. Being a doctor myself, I do not consider it right that money is placed so far above medical deontological principles. In the end, from a hospital we came to in good health with wonderful feelings and hopes, after the cesarean we left with my wife suffering from severe leg pain and loss of sensation. We were discharged with the logic “this condition is temporary, for some it passes in 3 days, for some in 3 months.” Although they said it would be re-evaluated at the follow-up, when we came — we were surprised by a demand for payment for the consultation. On the 7th day after the cesarean she is still with the same complaints, on painkillers, trying to stand on her feet while struggling with maternal duties. Going forward, we will plan an MRI and ultrasound on our own and look for a solution. Although I believe the medical and nursing team showed all their efforts, these hospital policies do not align with my understanding of ethics. If the patient’s wellbeing were the priority, I would have expected them to at least take a step to monitor this complication. Of course, we are dealing with people and it is hard to please everyone, but they could have at least said “come for a follow-up on such-and-such a day,” and we could have done an MRI, EMG and other tests and brought the results. In the end, this is a hospital I will not choose again.

Despite the words “in 2 days you’ll be back to normal life,” after the operation my bleeding continued for about two weeks. I spent about 20 days resting at home. Now my nose is more crooked than it was before. They said that due to excessive bleeding the swelling and puffiness are more than normal and a second operation is needed. Because of what I went through, I am unhappy. I filed a complaint with the patient rights department of Liv hospital and said that I do not want to be treated by the same doctor and want my money back. There wasn’t even any feedback. In terms of patient satisfaction, they failed.

We went for a check-up; I have never in my life seen a place organized so badly — even state hospitals no longer keep you waiting this long. The employee that the check-up department provides to accompany you accompanies not only you but everyone who came for a check-up, and only informs you that your turn has come — they can’t help with anything else. Of friendliness there is, of course, not a trace. After lunch you go to appointments with the doctors, and there, apart from the general practitioner, they also keep you waiting a good while; the level of indifference of the secretaries is on a whole other level!! There is some dietitian “Halime Besler”; we never once saw her, always some other young girl in her place, and this girl’s goal is also not to inform you but somehow to book you with “Halime Besler”… There is much more I could write, I’m tired, but I won’t write it.
