Neurosurgeons abroad

Last week, at the Neurosurgery and Neuromodulation Center under the leadership of Associate Professor Atilla Yılmaz, we successfully performed a brain stimulator implantation surgery. I say “successfully” because the procedure was carried out with the patient awake, and we had a pleasant conversation while working as a perfectly coordinated team 🙂

First of all, I was impressed by Atilla Yılmaz’s sincerity and positive energy. It is extremely important for a patient to feel trust in their doctor. After thorough evaluation, openness to new scientific approaches, the right choice of team, and proper timing of the surgery — everything worked together as a single whole. I am grateful to my doctor and his wonderful team.

Dear Professor, you generously share your extensive knowledge and experience with your patients while remaining extremely humane and kind. From the very first consultation, your humility and modesty are evident. You create the feeling of an older brother or a close relative — trust comes immediately. After helping restore a patient’s health, there is no one happier than you yourself. Thank God, you have both the desire and the expertise to help. In my 16 years living with multiple sclerosis, the only intervention that truly benefited me was performed by him. I would like to thank my doctor for the successful surgery that relieved me of many years of leg spasms. Despite all the medications, my legs would not relax, but after a minor procedure with the implantation of a pump, they relaxed completely.

God bless Dr.Ali. He reconnected to life my daughter, Berfin, who is bedridden and embittered with dystonia, and us. Now my daughter goes to school and she meets all her needs herself. We are grateful for this every day.

The diagnose of Parkinson’s disease stole 10 years of my life.The doctors said that the tremor I felt in my hand was psychological and started psychological treatment.I said I couldn't smell; they did my nose surgery; I said I couldn't hold my hand and they sent me to physical therapy.I finally found out that I have Parkinson's. I am ill with Parkinson disease from 2007. I have read on internet about dr. Ali Zirh and i was impressed. I have done the DBS operation on sept 2020 at the Medipol Hospital in Istanbul Turkey. We live abroad. When we came to Turkey on vacation, as a result of the ophthalmologist's examination, we found out that our daughter had a brain tumor. The world collapsed. By pure chance, we got to Professor Memet Ozek. He successfully performed the operation on our daughter. We were looking for a doctor because of my mother's sudden onset seizures. After long examinations, we decided to turn to Professor Ugur Thyre. The doctor operated on my mother, a meningioma was diagnosed in the left temporal lobe. Endless thanks to Professor Thure, his team, as well as Drs. I am very grateful for the highest professionalism to the neurosurgeon Ugur Ture. Good people work at the Yeditepe clinic. They treated my problem with understanding, supported in everything. Special thanks to the translators, they helped a lot in communicating with the doctors.

During a tourist trip, I received a head injury. I was offered the Yeditepe clinic, it was nearby and has a good reputation. After the examination, I was diagnosed with an intracranial hematoma. I got a consultation with Professor Ture, who explained everything to me and an operation was scheduled. Neurosurgeons used an endoscope to remove blood through a small hole. I felt an improvement in my condition almost immediately after the operation. Signs of damage to the nervous system are gone! I want to note that the doctors in Yeditepe are very professional, and the staff is attentive. And of course, thanks to Professor Ture for his time.

The consultation with Professor Ture went well. I received answers to all my questions from the professor. He explained the treatment plan to me in detail, which was not done in other clinics. There is an operation ahead and I think everything will be fine.

For peripheral nerve surgery, I visited the Yeditepe University Hospital, where I was consulted and then operated on by Professor Ugur Ture. He is an excellent surgeon, coped with my operation 100%. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I wanted an experienced and respected doctor to do the spinal surgery because I didn’t want to risk my health. I was looking for reviews of doctors on the Internet and came across the name of Professor Stoffel, who works at the Helios Clinic. I read about him and immediately made an appointment. Professor Stoffel removed a spinal tumor from my brother. Diagnosis and preparation for surgery were carried out. Everything went well. The operation was performed using a Gamma Knife. Now my brother is in rehabilitation. There is still chemotherapy ahead, but we hope for complete victory over the disease.

After an unsuccessful fall, I was left with a spinal injury. Periodically I felt severe pain, sometimes my legs went numb. Our paths crossed with Dr. Özgür in 2019 at Uludag University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. My son Dogan was very well taken care of. We were never turned down when we urgently called for advice. Dr. Ozgur performed several surgeries on my son. God bless him. We have come a long way with his care and guidance. We lost our Dogan, but we were lucky to meet SUCH a doctor as Dr. Ozgur. Mom had a hernia in several places on her lower back. Previously, she was operated on three times in different years. One of her doctors was Onur Kulaksisoglu. He removed the hernia, but the nerve was badly compressed and the doctor said that he had removed the hernia, but the pain would not go away, and that the situation would not improve much. My mother was getting worse every day, but she resigned herself to the pain and the herniated disc, believing that there was nothing more that could be done. I have never met such a warm reception in any clinic, doctors, nurses, coordinators treated me with awe and understanding, provided medical care, examination at the highest level in a short timeframe. I am sincerely grateful to the staff at this clinic who were with me during such a difficult period and in addition to medical care gave me moral support.

My daughter has undergone surgery, the treatment is ongoing, we have been here for 5 days now and we actually feel at home. I would like to express my great gratitude to our professor, Dr. Çağatay Öztürk, as well as his whole team and nurses (Yunus, Ferhat, Muhammet, Şeyma, Tuğba, Gül) for their care and support. Also thank physiotherapists Dilan and Irem for their care and attention. Today I took my 5-year-old daughter to Professor Cagatay Ozturk. He is a doctor who perfectly understands the psychology of patients, and most importantly, he listens very well. He reassured us, saying that we should just love our daughter, who was diagnosed with scoliosis. The doctor prescribed 4 months of physiotherapy, and to come to him for control. I was not aware that my dizziness symptoms are because of a brain tumor. I have been to many neurologists but nobody was able to identify the situation. When the doctors announced the diagnosis, I was scared. Glioma. They suggested surgery, but no one gave me a guarantee. My daughter took me to Israel for treatment.
