Mastopexy in Turkey: which breast lift methods are used
The approach depends on the degree of sagging, the condition of the skin and the patient’s wishes. The method also determines where the incisions and the future scars will be.
Vertical lift
for moderate sagging
Suitable for moderate sagging and a small excess of skin. There are fewer scars than with the anchor method, and the breast takes a higher position.
Anchor lift
for significant sagging
Chosen for significant sagging, when a lot of excess skin has to be removed. It gives the most noticeable lift, but the scar is longer than with the vertical method.
Lift with implants
when volume also needs to change
Suitable if, besides the position, you want to change the volume of the breasts. Implants are placed during the same operation, which is performed under full sedation (medication-induced sleep).
A breast lift can be done without implants if you are satisfied with the volume. The surgeon lifts the breast using your own tissue.

Tests before a breast lift in Turkey
Before drawing up a treatment plan, doctors review the tests you have already had and decide whether additional ones are needed. Some records can be assessed before you travel.

Which tests may be needed
The surgeon examines the breasts and assesses the degree of sagging, the condition of the skin and tissue, the position of the areola (the dark circle around the nipple) and the volume. Before the operation a complete blood count and blood chemistry are checked. If needed, the doctor will order a breast ultrasound or a mammogram.
Full information about your health is important: previous operations, chronic diseases, the medication you take and allergies.

A lift with or without implants
The decision depends on the anatomy, the condition of the tissue and your wishes. If you only need to lift the breasts, the lift is done without implants. If you also want to change the volume, the lift is combined with implants.
