About clinic

Rafael Hospital is a new modern hospital located in one of the prestigious areas of Tel Aviv. The management of the medical center has set itself the task of promoting medical innovation in Israel. Therefore, the most advanced technologies in the world, state-of-the-art equipment, and high-quality materials from famous pharmaceutical brands are used in Raphael Hospital.

Operating rooms in Raphael Hospital are equipped with advanced robotic systems. Among them are the Mako robot, which is used for joint surgery, and the Da Vinci robot, designed for high-precision surgery of internal organs.

Raphael Hospital is one of the best high-tech hospitals in Israel

Raphael Hospital is one of a kind, as innovative technologies were used in its construction. On the site of the future medical center, there was an office building built in the 80s. To create the project, the structure was completely dismantled along with the facades, leaving only the “skeleton”. Next, a new project was developed that takes into account all modern standards and requirements for the layout of medical institutions.

All 13 operating rooms at Raphael Hospital are lined with Corian® Solid Surface panels, made from a special material. It prevents the growth and reproduction of mold, viruses, and bacteria, thereby ensuring a high level of hygiene in medical premises.

Raphael Hospital is one of the few hospitals in the world that uses the Oosto artificial intelligence system. Real-time face recognition technology allows doctors to quickly and seamlessly navigate the hospital without the need for keys or codes. However, at the same time, the system provides an unprecedented level of protection against unauthorized access to the clinic.

Main activities of Rafael Hospital

The following medical departments operate at Raphael Hospital:

  • surgery centers (general, bariatric, orthopedic, urological, plastic);
  • men's health clinic;
  • women's health clinic;
  • endoscopy department;
  • Department of Radiology and Imaging;
  • ENT department;
  • orthopedic department;
  • physiotherapy center.

The most popular procedures performed at the Rafael Hospital:

  • knee replacement;
  • shoulder replacement;
  • mini-gastric bypass surgery;
  • sleeve gastroplasty;
  • umbilical hernia repair.

What diagnostic methods are used at Raphael Hospital?

The Department of Radiology and Imaging of Rafael Hospital performs all types of diagnostic tests:

  • CT scan of the brain, sinuses, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, joints, and so on;
  • CT scan with low radiation dose for smokers for early detection of lung cancer;
  • virtual cardiac catheterization;
  • virtual colonoscopy;
  • ultrasound examinations;
  • digital x-ray.

CT diagnostics are performed using a Philips tomograph. Experienced radiologists interpret the results. The extract can be obtained within 48 hours after the examination.

The endoscopy department of Raphael Hospital is equipped with the most modern equipment. To perform a virtual colonoscopy, they use the GI-GENIUS artificial intelligence system. It helps detect benign tumors (polyps) and intestinal cancer at an early stage.

In addition, the department carries out the following diagnostic tests:

  • gastroscopy;
  • capsule endoscopy of the small intestine;
  • ERCP – endoscopy of the bile ducts and pancreas;
  • endoscopic ultrasound to detect tumors of the digestive system;
  • Bravo capsule endoscopy to determine the level of acidity in the esophagus.

Patient-centered approach at the Israeli Rafael Hospital

Doctors and medical staff of the hospital inform patients and their relatives in detail about each stage of the therapeutic process. In addition, Rafael Hospital has all the conditions for a comfortable stay. Diagnosis: surgery

First of all, I wish everyone a full recovery and that we do not spend our lives in hospitals. If you already need to go to the hospital – Raphael Hospital is the place. Anyone who says that money can’t buy health is just lying to himself to justify that he doesn’t have money. And I will explain – at the state hospital, I was scheduled for an appointment after 4 months, and not for the nearest appointment, claiming that I was not in danger. (although I am in pain and bleed from time to time). When I made an appointment at the Raphael hospital, I was immediately booked for tests and surgery for the following week, when I arrived at the hospital, everything was done quickly and efficiently to get you through the surgery as soon as possible. As soon as I got into rehab after surgery, I got a private room with a luxury bed, a TV with Netflix and YouTube, all the channels and fine dining + butler service (not like hospital services). I felt like I was on vacation in this hospital. Definitely highly recommend Raphael Hospital!

The hospital looks like a five-star hotel.

Visiting the Raphael Hospital was a surprise for me, because it was a five-star hotel, and not an ordinary medical institution.
Despite the fact that we were late, we were received quickly and without problems.

Inside the hospital, you can see screens and televisions at every step, which are located both in the corridors and in the wards.

The wards were impressive with their cleanliness and comfort: the beds are equipped with an electric drive, the patient has a remote control to control the light and TV.

If there is a question of choosing between the Raphael hospital and other medical institutions in Israel, I advise Raphael.

Diagnosis: tonsillectomy

First of all, let me start by saying that the staff is charming and kind, for adults it’s probably a good hospital, not so much for children.
We came for a tonsillectomy with a 3-year-old child and it is clear that the institution is not prepared to receive children.
It is important to clarify that we have already undergone a similar operation in the medical center in Herzliya, so I have something to compare with and the difference between heaven and earth.
1. The rooms do not have a chair that folds into a bed for a companion. A parent or chaperone has to sit up all night, a nightmare.
2. Children’s channels did not work on television, only movies and news channels, which did not help to alleviate the boredom of a hospitalized child.
3. There is no play area or recreation area for children.
4. For dinner, they offered pasta in a creamy sauce and porridge, the children do not eat it. When I asked for pasta without anything or with tomato sauce, it was not available. Which made us buy dinner. When I talked with other mothers, I saw that they also bought.

I will conclude that the hospital is simply not ready to receive children. The boy is impatient from boredom, there was nothing to occupy him.
It is important to clarify that the stay was unbearable not only for the child, but also for other patients who heard him and other children during the stay.
I hope the hospital will take these clarifications into account for the sake of future patients.

Good hospital. Starting with a quick reception, cleanliness, delicious food and, of course, ending with the care of the staff in the department. Both nurses and medical staff strive to make the patient’s stay in the hospital as pleasant as possible. The answers are very fast, the staff is attentive to the patient, and the treatment is professional and comprehensive. Let’s hope I don’t have to go to the hospital again, but if I do, I will only do it at the Raphael Hospital. Thank you for your professional and sensitive attitude.

Overall, the hospital is very modern and advanced. The ambiance is nice and the rooms resemble the look and feel of a new hotel. There’s some place for improvement when it comes to administrative procedures. The nurses are kind and professional, the location is great and quiet and the experience was very good overall.
