Our experience at Acibadem Hospital during the surgery and care for my mother was truly excellent. The medical services were of a very high standard, and the entire staff were professional, caring and attentive throughout the whole process.
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, which made our stay much easier during such a difficult time. The nurses and medical staff were exceptionally kind and supportive, and their response time was incredibly fast: any request or need was addressed almost instantly.

I flew all the way from Mauritius to fix a perforation of the nasal septum, and I am very happy with how everything went. The staff were super friendly, I had an interpreter for the preliminary examination and all procedures, so everything went smoothly, and the operation itself turned out to be completely successful. The nurses were a little surprised that I am German and came to Istanbul for this, but I specifically wanted to see Dr. Gediz Serin. He is a genius. I was a little worried because the perforation most likely remained after a previous operation I had in Germany, but I made the right choice coming here.

I had an operation, I went through the whole process, my doctor was magnificent, and the hospital took very good care of me too. HOWEVER, the most unpleasant thing for me was that it is so difficult to contact the hospital — neither before the operation nor after could I communicate properly in any way. Everyone passes the buck to one another, redirects you, says “we’ll call you back” and forgets, doesn’t call back. This hospital, apart from the nurses, has very big problems with the rest of the staff! Now my sister is facing the same operation I had, we talked to the doctor, agreed, but we just cannot get an answer from the insurance company, and everything is left hanging. Shame on them, the hospital is not far off from a public one, the “patient communication” team might as well not exist — I don’t think they are of any use, apparently they’re just not paid 🙂

When I reached out to learn more about the clinic, I was pleasantly surprised by the highest level of service they provided. It significantly exceeded the experience of dealing with other private clinics I had contacted.
First of all, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Rose from the head office. She responded incredibly promptly and politely and diligently made sure that all the necessary information was gathered before the appointments with the doctors. Rose gave me confidence that Acibadem was the perfect choice.
Overall, my experience with the Acibadem medical staff was excellent. Dr. Öztürk (hematology), Dr. Özkan (pulmonology) and Dr. Durmaz (dermatology) are clearly experienced in their fields. They gave me their time, answered my questions and recommended the necessary examinations to gather data and draw conclusions. Now I am well equipped with information for my family doctor.
Last but not least — Ahmet Taş, my interpreter, showed outstanding care and patience, leaving an indelible mark on my memories. From the moment he met me at the reception on the first day, I felt confident that I was in reliable hands. Despite the fact that he said he was new to this role, he skillfully guided me through different departments — with both administrators and doctors, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
During the breaks between appointments, we had the opportunity to talk and exchange thoughts about life and what makes it so special: the connections we form with other people, however brief they may be. During the three days I spent with him, I left Istanbul with a feeling of gratitude for meeting such a kind and compassionate person. I am sure he makes every patient of the clinic feel special. People like Ahmet are truly invaluable members of the Acibadem team, because they bring empathy and positivity into our lives during difficult moments.

I had a great experience here! I came for an executive checkup to get a second opinion on several diagnoses from my German doctors. My interpreter, Ahmet Taş, did significantly more than necessary to make my stay efficient and even pleasant. I had so many examinations and appointments — in Germany this would have taken weeks or months! Ahmet helped me with far more than just translation. He found another specialist for me when the first one did not fit, and he was very helpful with transport and activities around the hospital stay. I will definitely come back when I need a second opinion, and I hope to get him again as an interpreter!

To begin with, to your surprise, no one in the emergency room and at triage spoke a single word of English. I slipped and hit my head hard on a curb, so I came there to check my head and make sure there was no aneurysm. I had to wait 15 minutes for an interpreter to come and help! Fortunately, one of the residents spoke English, and he tried to step in and help!
Secondly, they are incredibly expensive, and all they care about is getting paid! Can you imagine, they keep a patient with a head injury on hold just to make sure she can pay 20,000 Turkish lira for a CT scan and a doctor’s appointment?
My insurance had expired by then, so I understood I would have to pay a substantial amount, but keeping me waiting until I verbally confirmed my willingness to pay, and only then sending the patient for a scan — this is inhumane!!!
Most of the staff have attitude problems and know nothing about empathy and compassion!!!
This is truly sad, because they are fully equipped with excellent medical equipment, but the staff is below the standards of even a public hospital, let alone a private “five-star” one!!!

There is so much to say.
We are currently under medical supervision for my son’s scoliosis and can only praise the Spine Center led by Dr. Alanay. Both he and Dr. Çağlar are very caring and knowledgeable.
The staff are extremely responsive and attentive. We especially appreciate the comprehensive approach, since the center coordinates multidisciplinary specialties: physiotherapy, thoracic and neurosurgery, brace wearing, etc. Tais and Gizem are wonderful patient care staff, they organize every detail, answer questions, and keep the whole process under control. Shuttles to and from the airport, to the hotel — such an amazing service that everything becomes much easier.
The hospital itself is amazing: new, beautiful, well-maintained, there are translation services, although most doctors speak English.
As for Istanbul — it is a fantastic city, definitely worth visiting!

I had my annual check-up here. They have come a loooong way. The facility is clean and in good condition. Very systematic and organized. The doctor speaks English well. The staff are courteous and willing to help, even if not everyone speaks English. The hospital has clear navigation in Turkish and English, and a staff member will always walk with you if you need to move to another area. I was upset that the toilet I was directed to for a urine sample was dirty, but there were other toilets nearby — very clean. Paid street parking and valet service are available.

We are very satisfied with the Maslak clinic, which we went to with hesitation after our negative experience at Acıbadem Altunizade. We came to the hospital urgently by ambulance from the Zekeriyaköy branch and were met very attentively. They immediately started the procedures and provided all the necessary information. During the endoscopy in the morning, both the doctor and the nurses were caring and treated us very warmly. We went to Acibadem for artificial insemination, and the first impression was encouraging: a large, clean, hygienic clinic. But looks are deceiving. We were not given enough information, everything was only short and concise, only the most necessary. Of course, everything is learned by heart, the words are like a shot from a machine gun – drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The possibility of getting pregnant, which, of course, also costs a lot of money. Of course, you need to pay for everything in advance, otherwise nothing will work. It always depends on money. I ended up paying about 10,000 euros.
