The Line Plastic Surgery is a plastic surgery clinic in Seoul operating under its current name since 2007. Its main areas of expertise include liposuction and body contouring, fat grafting, facial surgery and breast surgery. The clinic is officially registered to treat international patients and participates in the Gangnam medical tourism program.
The Line holds government-designated status as an advanced regenerative medicine institution, and its research division has received official recognition. The clinic’s achievements include ISO 9001 certification obtained in 2009 and JCI international accreditation.
The clinic is led by two surgeons with more than 30 years of experience. Dr. Yoosuk Chung is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in facelift surgery, eyelid surgery, breast surgery and body contouring. Dr. Jaeho Cho is a board-certified general surgeon with a PhD whose main areas of practice are liposuction, fat grafting and body lifting. The doctors personally guide patients through consultation, surgery and postoperative follow-up.

One of the clinic’s distinctive features is the use of freshly isolated stromal vascular fraction (SVF) obtained from the patient’s own adipose tissue. It is prepared in the clinic’s Cell Matrix Lab and used in selected procedures to support tissue recovery.
Liposuction and body contouring
The surgeons treat fat deposits on the abdomen, waist, flanks, arms and thighs. Comprehensive techniques include 360° abdominal and waist liposuction (Corset Liposuction), circumferential thigh liposuction and contouring from the waist to the outer thighs. Fat removal can be combined with fat grafting to areas that require additional volume. Small incisions are placed in natural folds and discreet locations.
Revision liposuction
After a previous procedure, residual fat deposits, asymmetry, irregularities or depressions may remain. At The Line, correction may combine repeat fat removal, fat grafting and SVF. Ultrasound lifting may also be used when the skin is lax.
The possibilities of revision surgery depend on tissue condition. Pronounced adhesions, insufficient subcutaneous fat and skin damage may limit the achievable result. A personalized correction plan is prepared after consultation and examination.
Facelift
A Deep Plane Facelift may be used for prominent jowls, nasolabial folds and sagging tissues of the face and neck. The surgeon releases the retaining ligaments and repositions the deeper tissues. SVF may be added to support recovery. This technique can also be considered when a previous SMAS facelift has produced an insufficient result.
A mini facelift is intended for less pronounced cheek sagging. Through a small temporal incision hidden in the hair, the tissues are lifted and secured with an absorbable Endotine device. A deep plane facelift takes approximately 4–8 hours, while a mini facelift takes about two hours.
Eyelid surgery
Upper and lower blepharoplasty, ptosis correction and fat repositioning under the eyes can address hooded eyelids, bags and shadows caused by uneven contours. During lower blepharoplasty, fat is moved into hollow areas to smooth the transition between the eyelid and cheek. Excess skin may be removed and the lower eyelid reinforced when necessary.
Upper blepharoplasty takes about one hour and is performed under sedation with local anesthesia. Discharge is usually possible on the same day, with a return to everyday activities in approximately one week.
Rhinoplasty
The shape of the nose is planned in relation to facial proportions, bridge height and tip position. Patients may seek either primary surgery or correction of a previous result. To reshape the nasal tip, the surgeon uses suture techniques and, when necessary, the patient’s own cartilage or dermal tissue.
Nasal tip correction usually takes 1–1.5 hours, is performed under sedation and does not require an overnight hospital stay. Sutures are removed after approximately 5–7 days, while complete healing takes longer.
Breast augmentation and correction
Breast volume can be increased using Mentor or Motiva implants or fat grafting with the patient’s own fat. Implant size, placement technique and incision location are selected according to body proportions, tissue thickness and the desired breast shape.
Fat grafting can restore volume after breastfeeding or weight loss and may also help soften the visible contours of an implant. Breast reduction or a breast lift may be considered when the breasts are overly large or sagging. Implant-based augmentation usually takes about 1.5 hours, and same-day discharge may be possible after observation.
Safety and recovery
A board-certified anesthesiologist is permanently available at the clinic, and the patient’s vital signs are monitored throughout surgery. Preoperative testing is selected individually and may include blood tests, an ECG, ultrasound and other examinations.
Postoperative monitoring and follow-up examinations are provided after surgery. The timing of discharge, recovery and the recommended stay in Seoul depends on the procedure and the patient’s condition. The doctor prepares the final treatment plan after examination.

At first the swelling made it hard to assess the result, but in summer clothes I could clearly see how neat and beautiful my arm contours had become. Only a month has passed, so recovery is not complete, but I am already happy. Bruising and instrument marks were visible for one or two weeks; now they are barely noticeable. I massaged my arms and underarms at home and can raise my arms freely. I plan to maintain the result with healthy eating and light exercise.

This is my review one month after abdominal liposuction and fat transfer to the buttocks. The result was better than expected: my trousers are loose at the waist and my abdomen protrudes much less. The scars are noticeable but hidden by underwear, and I hope they fade. Bruising and swelling have almost disappeared. The first week was difficult, but now the operation hardly affects daily life.
