




Professor Umut Kefeli is a medical oncologist at the Faculty of Medicine of Kocaeli University, a specialist in internal medicine and clinical oncology. He has over 20 years of professional experience.
He teaches and treats patients in the Department of Internal Medicine (Oncology Division) at Kocaeli University. He actively participates in international research projects and is a member of ESMO and ASCO. He is the author of more than 130 scientific publications (h-index 15 on WoS/Scopus, 18 on Google Scholar; over 900 citations).
Areas of expertise: drug therapy for colorectal, breast, lung, gastric and prostate cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, telemedicine in oncology, prognostic biomarkers (neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, albumin/alkaline phosphatase).
Co-author of works on the use of Lutetium-177 PSMA-617 in prostate cancer, the efficacy of capecitabine and temozolomide in neuroendocrine tumors, and palliative colorectal stenting. He has led 28 research projects.
