Spina Bifida
Good afternoon!!! My daughter Varya Kiseleva was born with a diagnosis of Spina Bifida. At the age of 2 months she had an operation in Moscow to excise a spinal hernia. The first months were difficult for her. The child developed normally, but after a couple of years, pain appeared in the area and the spine became curved. I started searching for a doctor who could help us. The long search was not in vain. Thank God, I found Prof. Shimon, who turned out to be not only a professional in this pathology, but also a wonderful person!!!! He gave us a chance for a normal life. After the operation (fixation of the spinal cord), we had no more pain, my daughter began to grow actively, and sensitivity appeared in her legs. She started to urinate. From the bottom of our hearts we thank Prof. Shimon Rochkind for his golden hands and kind heart!!! Thank you for being there!

Lumbosacral dysraphism with liquorrhea
Hello! My child was born with a severe anomaly of the spine dysraphism of the lumbosacral region with liquorrhea. The boy was urgently operated in Russia, but unfortunately, the operation was not without complications, pelvic organ functions were disturbed, paralysis of both legs, lack of sensitivity on the buttocks. By the age of 8 years there were worsening: pulling pains in the back and legs, curvature of the spine, deformity of the foot. MRI scans showed secondary fixation of the spinal cord. We turned for help to a wonderful doctor and person Shimon Rochkind. The operation in Israel was successful, the team led by the doctor did a jewelry and very difficult work to release all the roots of the spinal cord. After the operation the child began to feel much better, the pains were gone, my son felt his legs for the first time in the places where they were paralyzed. Now the child is happy that he has become a person with a straight back, his physical abilities have improved, he was able to verticalize and stand independently without support. Doctor, thank you very much for helping us and giving my child a chance to recover and lead an active life.

Spina Bifida
Hello! My daughter was born prematurely at term. At delivery we found out that she had a lumbar spina bifida aregta et meningoradiculoceles. On 28.11.06, the first operation in Russia "removal of a meningoradiculocele of large size 4 x 5 x 5 cm and plasty of the spinal canal defect" was performed. After the operation, monoparesis developed in the right leg: In the postoperative period on the 3rd day, divergence of the wound was noted. 'Emergency neurosonography was performed - ventriculomegaly was detected.1.12.06 second operation in Russia: "Ventriculoperitoneal shunt on the right side". 09.12.2006 was discharged. When our daughter was 9 years old, we had a repeat MRI in September 2016. Diastonotomyelia and spinal cord fixation were detected. The MRI results were sent to Israel, where Prof. Rochkind agreed to perform the surgery. Time goes on, day by day, month by month and it's been exactly one year since we had the operation, the money was raised with the help of the WorldVita Foundation. During this time a lot has changed, in addition to the fact that we have almost disappeared scoliosis, there is sensitivity in the leg, my daughter can stand on the whole foot, and before only on the heel, just increased muscle tone and the leg does not dangle like an attachment. It's like my daughter has come to life. Thank you to Prof. Shimon Rochkind, and to all the people who helped us! Health to you and your family!!!

Spina bifida
At 3 months my son was diagnosed with Spina Bifida and in Russia we were offered to wait with the operation, as the chance for a good outcome in our case was said to be very small and that my son would be incontinent and possibly his legs would fail. I was not satisfied with this option, and I was looking for other doctors for a long time with conclusions and mrt for consultation. By chance I found a mom who was collecting money for surgery for a child with a very similar diagnosis in the foundation and found out from her about the doctor. I found more moms who had operated on their children with Prof. Rokhind and all of them as one said that he is a wonderful doctor with golden hands. We sent him the documents for consultation and in January 2015 my son was operated on in Israel. The professor is really a doctor who is not afraid to entrust the health of the child! He is a professional and works with a great team of doctors! Now my son is four years old, he runs and jumps, he has everything normal with the toilet - he is a normal child and only the scar on his back is the only thing that reminds us of the operation. We are very grateful to the professor and his whole team! Thank you very much for your hard work!

ѕpina bifidа
Hello, my son was diagnosed with lipomyelomeningocele, spinal cord fixation, lipoma of the spinal cord and terminal filament at the age of two. There were no visible abnormalities, my boy developed well, he started walking at the age of 10 months, there were no pelvic organ abnormalities, there was only a small fat in the lumbar region, but the doctors were not particularly worried about it. When we went for examination about this lipoma, after MRI we were given this terrible diagnosis. My legs gave out after I started researching what this diagnosis was. The neurosurgeon said that as long as there are no visible changes, it is not worth to operate, but it is better to operate after the beginning of changes to equalize the consequences after the operation. And the consequences are pelvic organ disorders, catheterization, diapers for life and legs can fall off! I was horrified by all this and started looking for information. I found Prof. Shimon Rochkind, he undertook to perform the operation and we trusted him! The surgery was performed 3 months ago, it was a complicated operation, the professor removed the lipoma and removed the fixations. The operation was performed with jewelry, not a single nerve root was damaged. Now my boy runs, plays and jumps. He is absolutely healthy! We are very grateful to the professor and his whole team! God bless you all with health and happiness!

ѕpina bifidа
We are from Yekaterinburg (Russia). Our son Andriusha was operated on by Prof. Shimon Rockhind at the age of 10 months. We have Spina Bifida occulta. In Russia we were not given a positive prognosis after the operation. Then we started looking for someone who could really help us. The diagnosis is scary, the consequences too. We did not give up and found and trusted Sh. Rokhind. Now we are 1 yr. 7 months. We have an absolutely healthy child, for which we are very grateful to the professor and his team.

removal of a tumor on the spine
A month ago Alexander underwent the most difficult surgery to remove a giant tumor on his spine. The situation was critical-dysfunction of pelvic organs, threatened and paralyzed legs. Professor Shimon Rochkind brilliantly coped with all these terrible problems by performing a virtuoso operation to completely remove the tumor. Now everything is on the mend, thanks to the golden hands of the professor all the functions of the body are being restored. In spite of what I have suffered, Prof. Rochkind will remain a bright spot in my life. How much good this wonderful doctor brought to people with his hard work! It should be noted that Professor Rochkind is a pleasant, attentive person with charisma, which allows the patient to feel confident in the success of treatment. I bow to you, dear Professor!
