Complex lower-limb deformity
We met Prof. Sami in 2015. In Ankara, I had been told there was no solution and that I would not be able to use my leg, but the professor asked about my expectations and explained everything in detail. I feel very well now. He also followed me closely during postoperative checkups.

Knee replacement
Five months ago, Prof. Sami performed knee replacement surgery on my mother. Her leg is still swollen, she cannot walk normally, and her knee becomes unstable, causing her to lose her balance. She is dissatisfied with the outcome and feels that her condition worsened after surgery.

Turkey, Istanbul

VM Medical Park Florya is a multidisciplinary university hospital in Istanbul and part of the Medical Park network. It brings together diagnostic services, operating rooms, inpatient wards, and rehabilitation facilities, allowing patients to complete every stage of treatment at one center. Modern equipment helps doctors accurately assess bones, joints, and soft tissues, plan procedures, and monitor recovery.

The hospital is well suited to patients of Prof. Sami Sokucu, an orthopedic traumatologist specializing in joint replacement, complex trauma care, deformities, and limb-length discrepancy. Laboratory tests, X-rays, CT, and MRI are available for preoperative assessment, while a multidisciplinary approach makes it possible to involve anesthesiologists, radiologists, and other specialists when necessary.

After surgery, the rehabilitation program is tailored to the diagnosis, extent of the procedure, age, and level of physical activity. Step-by-step rehabilitation aims to reduce pain, restore mobility, and safely recover the limb’s weight-bearing function.
