Mehmet Faik Cetindag — a Turkish radiation oncologist with more than 36 years of experience in his specialty. He currently sees patients at Medipol Mega University Hospital in the Bağcılar district of Istanbul.
His scientific and clinical work is focused on head and neck tumors — one of the most precision-demanding areas of radiation therapy, where it is critical to protect the salivary glands, pharyngeal and laryngeal muscles, the thyroid, and other structures located near the tumor.
The first more than 20 years of his professional career were spent at the largest oncology hospitals in Ankara, including 16 years at the Ankara Dr. Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Oncology Training and Research Hospital — one of Turkey’s leading cancer centers. After that, he worked at Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, and then moved into the private system — to Medipol Mega University Hospital.
He works with a wide range of modern radiotherapy technologies: external beam radiation therapy, IMRT (intensity-modulated radiotherapy), TrueBeam, Gamma Knife, Intrabeam (intraoperative radiotherapy), and brachytherapy. This makes it possible to tailor the treatment method to each specific case — from classic external beam courses to high-precision radiosurgery and “from within” irradiation during the surgery itself.
For a patient with an oncologic diagnosis, especially with head and neck tumors, this is a clear choice: an experienced radiation oncologist at a private university clinic with a wide range of modern equipment.

Medipol Mega is one of the largest private university medical complexes in Turkey, accredited by JCI.
For an oncology patient, this is a practical setup — medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and hematology are concentrated within a single complex, which makes it possible to receive a comprehensive treatment plan without traveling between clinics.
The radiation oncology department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology: TrueBeam systems for high-precision external beam radiotherapy, IMRT (intensity-modulated radiation therapy) for tumors with complex shapes, Gamma Knife for radiosurgery of brain tumors, Intrabeam for intraoperative radiation therapy (irradiation of the tumor bed during the surgery itself), brachytherapy.
The clinic accepts international patients: a coordinator, an interpreter, remote review of medical imaging, online consultations, and second opinions.
