Prof. Jean de la Rosette is a urologist with more than thirty years of international experience and one of the strongest academic reputations in modern urology: more than 750 scientific publications, an h-index of 113, and over 55,000 citations to his work. Since 2024 he has been President of the Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU), having previously served six years as its Secretary General. He founded and led CROES, the research office of the Endourological Society, and helped establish the Uro-Technology section of the European Association of Urology. Before moving to Istanbul, he chaired the Department of Urology at Amsterdam UMC (Netherlands) for 16 years. His clinical focus covers minimally invasive prostate and kidney surgery, endourology, focal therapy of prostate cancer (including irreversible electroporation), ultrasound and tomographic diagnostics in urology, and the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia and urolithiasis. For the patient, choosing him means access to treatment by one of Europe’s most authoritative urologists at an internationally accredited clinic.

Medipol Mega University Hospital is a university clinic that combines a complex of four specialised hospitals under one roof: general, oncology, cardiac surgery and dental. The hospital holds international JCI accreditation and was the first in Turkey to receive separate JCI Academic Medical Center accreditation. The clinic runs a robotic surgery programme (da Vinci system) in urology, cardiac surgery, gynaecology and general surgery, as well as High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) technology for the treatment of prostate cancer, uterine fibroids and bone metastases. The dedicated oncology hospital within the complex hosts multidisciplinary tumour boards. For a patient with prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia or urolithiasis, this means the opportunity to undergo diagnostics, robotic or endoscopic surgery, and post-operative follow-up at an internationally accredited university clinic.
