

















Associate Professor Gokhan Demirayak is a Turkish specialist in obstetrics, gynecology and gynecologic oncology. Since 2022 he has been practicing at Memorial Şişli Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey.
He completed his medical degree at the Faculty of Medicine of Kocaeli University (Kocaeli Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi) in 1999–2005. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine of Istanbul University (İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi) in 2008–2012. He completed his subspecialty (yan dal) training in gynecologic oncology in 2019 at the Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital of the University of Health Sciences (SBÜ Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk EAH). In 2016 he attended Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, USA) as an observer. Since 2019 he has been pursuing a PhD in molecular oncology at the Hamidiye Health Sciences Institute of the University of Health Sciences (SBÜ Hamidiye Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü).
Career path: 2005–2006 — general practitioner at the Çaykara/Ataköy district health center (Trabzon); 2012–2014 — specialist in obstetrics and gynecology at the Derince Training and Research Hospital (SBÜ Derince EAH, Kocaeli); 2014–2016 — specialist in obstetrics and gynecology at the Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital (SBÜ Okmeydanı EAH, Istanbul); 2019–2022 — head of training and administration at the Gynecologic Oncology Clinic of Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital (SBÜ Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk EAH); from 2022 — specialist in obstetrics, gynecology and gynecologic oncology at Memorial Şişli Hospital. He received the title of Associate Professor (Doçent) in 2020.
In clinical practice he uses modern minimally invasive techniques: robot-assisted Da Vinci surgery, laparoscopic surgery and vNOTES (scarless surgery). Main areas of expertise — surgical treatment of cervical, uterine (endometrial), ovarian and vulvar cancer, as well as fibroids, pelvic organ prolapse, endometriosis and HPV-related conditions.
He is actively engaged in scientific work: he has authored 27 international and 10 national publications, 3 chapters in international books and translations, and has delivered 32 oral presentations at national and international congresses.
