Dr. Gaurav Garg is a pediatric cardiologist, Associate Head of the Pediatric Cardiology Department at BLK-Max Hospital in New Delhi. He specializes in the treatment of congenital and complex heart defects in newborns and children.

A special area of his work is the treatment of newborns with critical heart defects, including premature babies and infants of very low weight (less than 2 kg). Dr. Garg performs minimally invasive interventions and the installation of special intravascular devices in such patients. This is one of the most complex areas of pediatric cardiology.

According to the official page of Fortis Healthcare, Dr. Garg became the first doctor to perform the closure of a Sinus Venosus atrial septal defect via catheter, without open-heart surgery. This is an important achievement for the treatment of a rare and complex form of congenital heart defect.
