We turned to Dr. Erkan when we were looking for help due to the persistent cough, runny nose, and similar complaints in both of our sons. The doctor who saved my child with a tracheostomy from the ventilator and is fighting with us to reach the decannulation stage is always available when we call or text, always supports us, and answers our questions sincerely and in detail. He is probably the only doctor after whom you can leave the hospital without any questions left in your mind.
Before this, we visited many departments and many doctors, but we never met anyone like ERKAN ÇAKIR. We can never repay our doctor for everything he has done for us.

We met Dr. Erkan through a recommendation. My daughter has a tracheostomy. Thanks to his knowledge and experience, as well as the prescribed treatment and recommendations, we were able to stop using the machines in a short time. We met Dr. Erkan in March 2026 through a recommendation from our pediatrician in Bursa. My son had frequent recurrent lung infections, a persistent cough, constant runny nose and abundant discharge, as well as high allergy indicators. First, he patiently and attentively listened to our story, immediately made a diagnosis, and developed a treatment plan for us. After about 2.5 months, we saw positive changes in the child's condition. We continue to be monitored, and it seems that monitoring will likely continue.
I cannot express in words how grateful I am to him. My five-year-old son hadn't gotten better for months. He had pneumonia five times in four months. Finally, our pediatrician referred us to Professor Erkan. He is a humble man, but thanks to his knowledge, he immediately won our trust.

When our daughter was 2 years old, she got bronchitis and was often sick. She had shortness of breath, she lost consciousness. She was hospitalized many times in a public hospital, but despite the prescribed medications, the illness continued. When my son was 50 days old, he had pneumonia, and this recurred until he was two years old. We went through five cases of pneumonia, five seizures, and five bronchitis episodes. His chest was constantly congested until we found Dr. ERKAN. Thank God, after three months of treatment, his condition improved. One-third of his lung was collapsed, and now, thank God, we see improvement. He is one of the rare doctors who truly does his job.

First of all, I want to start by thanking our dear doctor. It's been more than a year since we completed the treatment, but I've wanted to write this review for a long time. Last year, just before New Year's, my daughter Nil İpek was hospitalized at Liv Hospital with a diagnosis of pneumonia.
The doctor's attention, his care, his respect for the profession, his dedication, his knowledge, his approach—everything about him is wonderful. How fortunate that our paths crossed with our doctor; he guided us very well throughout this entire process.

We met Dr. Erkan in 2018. My daughter had a very severe lung infection. The doctor in our city could not correctly interpret the lung X-ray. By recommendation, we found our doctor. In those years, he worked at Bezmi Alem.
He prescribed us six months of treatment. We came to him with a very severe clinical picture. He prescribed targeted treatment, and hospitalization was not even required. For six months, we came for appointments at specific intervals.

My grandson developed allergic asthma. By recommendation, we took him to Dr. Erkan ÇAKIR, and he underwent examination. He had a severe asthma attack. He spent 8 days in the hospital. Dr. Erkan personally attended to him day and night. My grandson was discharged from the hospital healthy.
From the very beginning, our doctor gave us his mobile phone number and said, 'You can always call.' Even after discharge from the hospital, he personally called and inquired about his condition. When we have questions, we can calmly text him, and he responds immediately.
Nowadays, one of the biggest problems we face in hospitals is the inability to directly contact the doctor himself. When we call the hospital, they usually take our number and say they will contact us, but unfortunately, we have to wait for the call. I am sure you have also faced this problem.
The fact that Dr. Erkan gave us his number and personally attended to our child helped us a lot during this period. Therefore, we are very grateful to him; may God reward him for it. We were extremely satisfied with both the doctor and Liv Hospital.

We met Dr. Erkan because of my daughter's persistent illness, constant pneumonia, and allergic asthma. He is so attentive and caring—in his approach, communication, politeness, and how he listens and understands you—that it's impossible to list everything.
Throughout the treatment, our kind doctor selected a treatment suitable for our child, and thanks to the prescribed inhaler and other medications, he helped my daughter feel better and get through winter without illnesses. Before summer, we stopped the treatment and spent the summer season without medication. Usually, my five-year-old daughter took antibiotics every summer.
Whatever I say will be insufficient. He never stops until he finds the root cause, wholeheartedly does everything necessary, and together we always saw excellent results.
Please, do not be afraid of the prescribed medications and inhalers—they are not addictive and are discontinued after the treatment is completed. Believe me, with proper treatment, the result will be very good.

I have been regularly seeing Dr. Erkan for ten years. He is truly a doctor I trust with my eyes closed. He is very experienced and very attentive. I also love his assistant Nesibe Ablam very much; she helps in every way.
How wonderful that I met both of them. Their support and motivation regarding my illness affect me greatly. Sometimes I give up and might neglect what I should do for my illness, but they never stop caring for me.
We don't just have a doctor-patient relationship—they are like my older brother and sister. I truly love them very much; they are very kind. How wonderful that our paths crossed, I feel very happy. ☺️💐

Last year, my 8-year-old daughter underwent a rhinoscopy operation due to right lung collapse and inflammation. Dr. Erkan was very attentive to us and personally performed the surgery. Thank God, the operation was successful, and now my daughter is healthy and feels very well.

Please do not entrust your child to Erkan Çakır and Liv Hospital. Due to a cough that had not subsided for two months, we went to the emergency department of a state hospital. The doctor, who showed professional incompetence, said after an X-ray that my daughter had bronchial dilations in her lungs and recommended urgently consulting a pediatric pulmonology department. Since there were good reviews online, we went to Erkan Çakır that same day.
He said that the X-ray image was not displayed in the e-Nabız system and asked to repeat it. I said that I did not want to expose the child to radiation unnecessarily and informed him that my relative would be able to come to the hospital in about 10 minutes and bring the image. When the image arrived, he said: “Indeed, there are changes, it is necessary to urgently do a CT scan, and on Wednesday, let’s perform a bronchoscopy and see what is wrong with the child.”
I was concerned that he considered this necessary even without seeing the CT scan result, that the child was going to be put under anesthesia, and that he constantly asked: “Does your child have psychological problems?” I told my husband: “I will not entrust my child to this place,” and we left the hospital.
We received repeated calls saying that our doctor had reduced the cost of bronchoscopy. In the end, we turned to Prof. Bülent Arman. We found out that my child, who had been diagnosed with asthma for 2.5 years, actually did not have asthma, and allergists at Medical Park Göztepe and Maltepe Hospital had been prescribing incorrect treatment for years to a child who had no lung problems when examined with the device.
After the examination, we were told that the problem was higher up and we needed to see ENT doctors. After the treatment we received from our doctor Yusuf Can in Erenköy, my daughter has been feeling better than ever for two years now. I am now sick of everything that happens in healthcare.
Response: You told us that there were changes on the X-ray, although this was not true. In addition, your record after the examination stated “bronchiectasis?”. If you are a professor, on what basis do you tell a person with a clear X-ray that they need to be examined for bronchiectasis? Prof. Bülent Arman said that the X-ray was clear.
After reviewing the X-ray and manual examination, he said that the problem was related to adenoids or tonsils and was higher up, so we did not need to see pulmonologists. You wanted to unnecessarily anesthetize my child. In addition, you prescribed a CT scan.
Ultimately, the source of the problem turned out to be increased mucus production due to allergies and adenoids. I think you know very well what you are doing. You wrote everything as if you were completely blameless. All the best. I wish you success.

In September 2024, my daughter, who was then only 9 months old, started with a mild cough. By December, her condition had worsened to the point where she could no longer breathe normally. We consulted pediatricians, pediatric allergists, pediatric pulmonologists, and went to the emergency room every two weeks. During that period, we went from one doctor to another, but there was no result: we were prescribed inhalers and allergy medications and sent home.
This continued until my daughter started gasping for air and turning blue. Then I asked our doctor: “Please, tell us what to do,” — and that’s how we met Dr. Erkan. Already at the first appointment, he treated us like a close family member, even before a full examination, he explained in detail and clearly the possible causes and further options and hospitalized our daughter.
After treatment with corticosteroids and antibiotics, as well as a bronchoscopy during which the airways were cleared of accumulated phlegm, we were incredibly happy to see how, after several months, our girl could breathe, sleep, and eat peacefully again.
Believe me, if you find yourself in such a situation, trust our doctor’s prescriptions and follow them strictly. May God reward the doctor, his assistant Nesibe, and all the nurses.
