Can Caliskan — a Turkish radiologist and professor with 29 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional radiology. He has been part of Acıbadem Healthcare Group since 2010.
His specialty is diagnostic and interventional imaging. In the oncology patient pathway, the radiologist plays a key role: the accuracy of MRI and CT readings determines the diagnosis and the choice of treatment. In interventional radiology, the doctor performs image-guided procedures — from biopsy of hard-to-reach lesions to placement of catheters and stents and local tumor treatment.
From 2006 to 2012, he worked in the interventional radiology department of Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital, one of the major state teaching hospitals in Turkey. This gave him broad experience both in standard diagnostics and in procedures.
Colleagues and patients note his clinical expertise, attention to detail and team-based approach to complex cases.
Radiology. Areas of focus — diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology (including image-guided procedures used in oncology and vascular medicine).
Clinical areas: diagnostic radiology (ultrasound, CT, MRI), interventional radiology.

Acıbadem is one of the largest private medical networks in Türkiye and is JCI-accredited. The network includes more than 20 clinics with advanced radiology infrastructure: modern MRI scanners (1.5T and 3T), low-dose CT, PET-CT, and digital angiography systems for interventional radiology.
For an oncology patient this is critical, because the result of a radiology study is the basis for further decisions: tumor staging, surgical planning, assessment of chemotherapy response, and detection of recurrence. The network also routinely performs interventional procedures — image-guided biopsies, drainage, embolization.
Working in an academic network means that complex cases are discussed in multidisciplinary tumor boards together with oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists and pathologists. This improves diagnostic accuracy and the quality of the final treatment plan.
