Asaf Oren’s main areas of research:

1. Neonatal and pediatric endocrinology:

• Early development: Study of problems associated with prematurity, such as anemia and the need for blood transfusions.
• Hormonal Disorders: Study of various hormonal disorders in neonates and children, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, hypercorticism and hypopituitarism.
• Metabolic disorders: Analysis of metabolic disorders such as hypoglycemia and disorders of lipid metabolism.

2.Endocrinology of adolescence:

• Puberty: A study of disorders of puberty and their impact on adolescent health.
• Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus: A study of the course of type 1 diabetes mellitus in adolescents, including metabolic control, complications, and quality of life.
• Transgender Adolescents: A study of endocrinologic aspects and quality of life in transgender adolescents. 3.

3. Research Methods in Pediatric Endocrinology:

• Biomarkers: Use of various biomarkers for diagnosis and monitoring of endocrine diseases.
