





Dr. Amit Kumar Chaurasia is a senior interventional cardiologist with more than 20 years of experience, one of the leading specialists in India in transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI/TAVR) and the treatment of structural heart diseases. At Artemis Hospital (Gurgaon) he holds the positions of head of the department, head of the catheterization laboratory, head of the TAVI/TAVR and structural heart disease program, and Senior Consultant in cardiology.
Dr. Chaurasia education is a rare combination of three leading state institutions in India: he received his MBBS degree at JIPMER (Pondicherry), his MD in Internal Medicine at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, and his DM in Cardiology at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) in Trivandrum. He also completed an international fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Hungarian Institute of Cardiology in Budapest.
He has performed more than 1,000 TAVI/TAVR procedures and more than 10,000 cardiac interventions. Since 2016 he has been an official Proctor of the Medtronic company for the CoreValve and Evolut R systems. Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC).
