Maxillofacial surgery

I recently had surgery at this clinic and spent one night in the inpatient ward. I want to thank doctors Altan Varol and Melis Haydarpaşa — true professionals in their field. I also really appreciated the attitude of all the staff: attentive doctors, anesthesiologists and nurses. I am especially grateful to nurse Yaren for her care and support during my stay at the clinic. If you have problems with your teeth or jaw — here you can really feel that you are in safe hands.

Bimaxillary surgery

If we briefly describe Altan Varol — he is a doctor who really helps his patients both professionally and on a human level. We had bimaxillary surgery — one of the most complex operations in this field. Within just a week the swelling almost disappeared. Such a level of precision and accuracy is very rare. Professor Altan Varol — oral and maxillofacial surgeon with about twenty-four years of experience. Since December 2021 he has been working as a professor and head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at BAU Dental Hospital in Istanbul. Previously he worked at Marmara University.

The doctor has one of the strongest academic CVs in Turkish maxillofacial surgery. He graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry of Marmara University in 2001. He defended his PhD on the topic of temporomandibular joint arthroscopy at Marmara University in 2007. In 2011 he received the title of associate professor, and in 2016 — professor.

The doctor’s main strength is his narrow academic expertise in orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery and zygomatic implants. He has a large body of publications in international journals.
