Professor Ahmet Cem Iyibozkurt is one of the most academically prepared gynecologic oncologists in Istanbul: 28 years of medical experience and a rare combination of clinical surgery, molecular science and robot-assisted surgery.
His clinical scope covers robot-assisted radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer, fertility-preserving surgery, complex operations during pregnancy, and infertility treatment after several unsuccessful attempts with other doctors.
Patients describe him with words such as: “I felt I was in the best hands in the world”, “successful surgery to remove a 20-cm tumor”, “successful operation during pregnancy without harm to the baby”. They highlight his empathy, detailed explanations and his willingness to take phone calls at any time.
Dr. Iyibozkurt holds a PhD in Molecular Medicine from the Institute of Experimental Medicine (DETAE) of Istanbul University, completed a subspecialty in gynecologic oncology, received the title of Associate Professor (Doçent) and underwent international training in robotic surgery at Florida Hospital (Orlando, USA). He currently practices at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital.

Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital is the flagship facility of one of Turkey’s oldest private healthcare groups.
It was within the Florence Nightingale Group that Turkey’s first private oncology and radiotherapy center (Gayrettepe) was opened in 1997, and Turkey’s first robot-assisted surgery was performed in 2004.
The clinic is JCI-accredited—the global standard for quality in healthcare.
The clinic’s gynecologic oncology center works in conjunction with the department of robot-assisted surgery, radiation therapy, and interventional radiology (Center of Excellence certification).
For patients diagnosed with gynecologic oncology, this means: the ability to undergo diagnostics, robotic surgery, radiation therapy, and an oncology consultation all within a single clinic.
