About clinic

The network of Vithas clinics is a modern medical center in Spain. They are part of the largest Goodgrower group, which provides modern medical services. The first 10 clinics were established in 2012.

The hospitals of Vitha's network provide comprehensive modern medical care in all areas. The most demanded are diagnostics, prevention, and treatment with subsequent rehabilitation of cardiovascular, oncological, and neurological diseases.

Structure of Vithas Clinic Network

The network of medical centers includes:

  • 19 hospitals in 13 provinces;
  • 31 medical centers;
  • 159 modern operating rooms;
  • 11,300 medical staff;
  • 1,793 inpatient beds.

The network's clinics treat 5.5 million patients annually.

3 hospitals in the network are accredited by JCI. Vithas Madrid Artur Sorio is considered the leading clinic in the field. It has the status of a university hospital and serves as a training center.

Every year, the clinic receives over 400 thousand patients, most of whom are foreigners. Due to the high level of medical services, the Vithas Hospital in Madrid has been recognized as the best clinic in the TOP-20 in Spain for 4 years in a row.

Advantages of Vithas Clinics

The medical services provided in Vithas clinics comply with strict international standards. Among the advantages of hospitals are:

  1. Versatility. By their structure, clinics have several dozen specialized departments. This allows a patient with several pathologies to receive comprehensive medical care in one medical center.
  2. Advanced equipment. The network of Vithas hospitals has all the equipment that allows doctors to diagnose and conduct effective therapy accurately. For example, MRI 3 Tesla, CT machine, mammography, bone densitometer, digital angiograph, and gamma camera.
  3. To increase treatment success in clinics, interdisciplinary departments have been created, involving specialists from different fields. Among them are:
  • neuroscience centers, hearts;
  • Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases;
  • breast separation, neurorehabilitation, detoxification, obesity, assisted reproduction;
  • men's health department;
  • group for the protection of motherhood and childhood.
  1. Qualified specialists. The hospitals are home to leading Spanish doctors who are experts in their field. Many of them are members of reputable professional communities and participate in international trainings and conferences.
  2. There is a 24-hour emergency service in hospitals.

The cost of treatment in Vhitas network hospitals is 30-50% lower than in US hospitals.

Advanced Treatment

Doctors of Vhitas Hospitals successfully introduce innovative methods of treatment. Several types of therapies are also combined to achieve a successful result.

Oncology

  1. The latest-generation MRI devices are used to accurately detect a tumor, its size, and the presence of metastases.
  2. An advanced CyberKnife installation is used to destroy the affected tissues. The procedure is non-invasive. During use, healthy tissue is not damaged.
  3. Irradiation on the TrueBeam linear accelerator. This is a modern technology for the destruction of malignant cells that are located in hard-to-reach places. For example, in the brain. Advantage of the procedure: the rays affect the tumor from all sides.
  4. Radiation therapy with modulated intensity. A feature is the use of a small beam of radiation for the precise destruction of malignant cells. Among the advantages are the use of low doses of radiation and the minimum likelihood of side effects.

Neurosurgery

  1. A neuroimaging system is used to detect pathologies in the brain and nervous system, as well as to track manipulations during a surgical procedure.
  2. With spinal deformities, anomalies of the nervous system, the need for brain surgery, and minimally invasive interventions are performed that allow patients to recover quickly.
  3. For the treatment of Parkinson's disease, a deep brain stimulation is performed. This modern technology provides significant progress in the patient's well-being and return to normal life.

Cardiac Surgery

When treating cardiac pathologies in adults and children, cardiac surgeons at Vhitas Hospitals prefer minimally invasive interventions. Foreign patients come to Vhitas hospitals for the following procedures:

  • balloon angioplasty;
  • stenting of coronary vessels;
  • radiofrequency ablation;
  • implantation of a pacemaker or defibrillator;
  • transcatheter repair or heart valve replacement.

Robotic Surgery

It allows the doctor to perform the most accurate manipulations on the internal organs through small incisions up to 8 mm. The use of the Da Vinci apparatus is especially in demand for interventions on the kidneys, pelvis, bladder, and prostate gland.

Conditions for Foreign Patients

Patients from other countries are accommodated in spacious, comfortable single and double rooms. Each foreigner is assigned a personal coordinator who accompanies the patient during his stay in the hospital.

Also, for foreign patients, Vithas hospitals assist in accommodating accompanying persons. If necessary, clinics provide translation services.

Diagnosis: trauma

I received a lot of attention, very compassionate nurses and doctors, I was attended to quickly, they told me the tests would take 40 minutes. Everything was done much faster. I recommend this hospital, I have Adeslas insurance and no problems with payment. I hope I won’t be back here for a long time, hehehe.

Diagnosis: trauma

Very good service. As with all hospitals, depending on the therapeutic area and depending on the time/day you visit the emergency department, you will have to wait longer or shorter. However, in general, it is very good: a wide selection of doctors, an appointment at the right time. The staff is friendly and takes care of everything.
The premises are clean, spacious and bright. I recommend.

Diagnosis: trauma

In the trauma center, they paid a lot of attention, they treated me very well, they did all kinds of tests until they made a diagnosis. I had to wait a long time. But my 30-day treatment experience was generally positive. The doctor who treated me was very professional.

Diagnosis: examination, COVID

Every time I went for an examination or received my relatives, both doctors and nurses, assistants, and even cleaners, emergency managers, at the reception desk… EVERYONE treated us well. This was especially noticeable when there were convulsive moments with COVID. Therefore: THANK YOU for such attention and care in these difficult times.

Diagnosis: eye examination

Getting your eye test report should be a simple process, but the only way to get it – is to make another appointment. No help by phone, no messages by mail… This can be solved in a matter of minutes (electronic report!!!). And then they say that there is a long queue.
