Turan&Turan is a modern Turkish medical center whose main focus is the treatment of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. The founder of the clinic, Dr. Kayhan Turan, was one of the pioneers in the field of robotic and regenerative orthopedics in Turkey. Innovative methods of joint replacement at Turan Clinic
Orthopedic surgeons at Turan&Turan are constantly mastering advanced treatment methods and introducing them into daily clinical practice. It was they who performed the first robotic knee replacement surgery in Turkey in 2016, and a hip replacement in 2018. In 2020, the clinic purchased a NAVIO unit. This is a robot-assisted surgical arthroplasty system that facilitates preoperative planning and improves the accuracy of partial or total joint replacement.
Advantages of NAVIO robotic surgery at Turan Clinic:
- individual development of an endoprosthesis taking into account the anatomical characteristics of the patient;
- the most accurate installation of an artificial joint using a 3D modeling system;
- protection of healthy bone tissue;
- faster and painless rehabilitation;
- lower risk of wear and loosening of the endoprosthesis;

In addition, when using the NAVIO system, patients do not need preoperative CT scanning, which reduces radiation exposure to the body.
Modern methods of spinal surgery in Turan&Turan Health
Turan Clinic features high-tech equipment for performing spinal surgeries. Since 2022, robot-assisted MAZOR X technology has been used here. This is one of the most modern and safe surgical systems in the world and the first installation in Turkey. It is used to treat:
- scoliosis and kyphosis;
- degenerative disc disease;
- spinal canal stenosis;
- spondylolisthesis;
- spinal fractures.
The main advantages of the MAZOR X robotic system:
- increased surgical precision;
- the ability to operate through very small incisions;

Turan&Turan also has a multidimensional intraoperative visualization system O-arm. It is intended for the surgical treatment of spinal stenosis, tumors, scoliosis, and other diseases of the spinal column.
The O-arm system reduces the likelihood of injuries to blood vessels, nerves, and the spinal cord. It is also used to place screws to stabilize the spine. The technology helps calculate the areas and trajectory of pedicle screw inclination up to 1 mm.
Endoscopic surgery for a herniated disc in Turan&Turan
Endoscopic discectomy is the least invasive and most effective surgical treatment for patients with herniated discs. The operation is performed through an incision about 1 cm in size. The use of an endoscope and miniature surgical instruments allows the doctor to remove the damaged disc without the need to injure the muscles and bones of the spine. This technique was developed to provide patients with the fastest possible postoperative recovery.
Endoscopic discectomy is associated with a lower likelihood of scar tissue formation after surgery than the standard open approach. This reduces the risk of postoperative radicular syndrome.

I brought my wife here 4 or 5 months ago to treat a heel spur. She underwent a laser fragmentation procedure, but there was no improvement at all. Then we were told to do PRP therapy, we agreed, but we got no benefit from that either.
On top of that, they charged us quite a lot of money. I absolutely do not recommend it.

I need to re attach ligaments to the bone. after months of searching, I found Turan & Turan Clinic, So I traveled to Turkey and get my surgery here. I have never enjoy such kind of VIP treatment in any medical facility in the world, they picked up me in my hotel in a luxurious new car with so dedicated personnel that provided me a lot of attentions since the first day until the last day. I had 2 surgeries performed here; a full knee replacement in December, and spinal surgery in April. I am more than thrilled with the care and compassion I received, despite being a foreigner and not speaking Turkish. While I could have had these surgeries done in the U.S., it would have taken months and months to get the needed appointments, and I’m not sure at what expense because I am covered under Medicare. It didn’t matter to me. I feel like I paid a very fair price for the exceptional care I received.
Many thanks to the compassionate and responsive doctors, nurses and the rest of the staff. I highly recommend all of them and know because of them, I’m now living my best life!

I came in with a complaint of pain in my right hip, they found tissue damage, another doctor said a prosthesis, but this clinic did not consider it urgent. Dr. Mehmet Ali Biser referred me to Dr. Yalkin Mudraj. He also used medical treatment. When I arrived, I couldn’t step on my leg because of the pain, now I’m fine.
