Dr. Kayhan Turan made a mistake in my treatment. Unfortunately, I am very dissatisfied with Dr. Kayhan Turan. I would never recommend him. Two years ago I consulted him about a knee problem. When I asked for PRP therapy, Dr. Kayhan Turan said it was not needed. When I asked again, he said it was not needed. For two years I did not recover. He recommended a physiotherapy program, but despite following it carefully, it did not get better. After two years, Dr. Kayhan Turan said I needed surgery. And again, at the same hospital, op. Dr. Abdulaziz Temiz said I needed surgery — that the plica was thickened.

After that I wanted to consult other doctors. Op. Dr. Ali Arsoy from Nev Esentepe said I absolutely did not need surgery, as the plica was not thickened. Dr. Selçuk Coşkun also said the plica was not thickened and surgery was not needed. In addition, Dr. Coşkun said that PRP should have been done in the first three months — and now it is too late, PRP will not work, and the problem has become chronic. Although I asked Dr. Kayhan Turan for PRP, he refused.

Professor Ömer Faruk Bilgen from Medikabil Hospital said surgery was not needed. Dr. Mehmet Fatih Aydemir from the city hospital said no surgery was required, since there was no thickening. Doctors in England said PRP should have been done earlier, and that surgery was absolutely not needed. How is that possible? Dozens of doctors questioned the necessity of the surgery recommended by Kayhan Turan and Abdulaziz Temiz. Some even laughed at the suggestion. I was very upset for several days, thinking I needed surgery.

I do not understand why the PRP was not done in time, despite my requests. Why recommend surgery for 67,000 Turkish lira if it was not needed? They only accepted cash payment.

I also asked Dr. Kayhan Turan for PRP under ultrasound guidance. He said yes, he does it. I went into the PRP room, but there was no ultrasound there. He injected the PRP on the opposite side of my knee, not in the painful area. Before the procedure I told him the pain was here, not there. He smiled, said "I know" — and gave the injection in the opposite direction. This was a mistake. Dozens of doctors said PRP must be done only in the painful area, otherwise it is ineffective. On March 18, 2026, a doctor in London again said: "PRP without ultrasound, in random places, gives no result." The PRP treatment was the most severe pain I have ever felt. I do not understand why I had to endure this pain and also pay for it. I am so upset. I still have not recovered, I am very sad. Although I called repeatedly and asked whether they perform the procedure under ultrasound guidance, the experience was very hard.

I do not understand. Why did you upset me? You said I had a thickened plica, and I worried for several days, thinking I needed surgery. Look — dozens of doctors looked at my MRI and said there is no thickening.

It is a pity that I did not go to Acıbadem or Medicana from the start. I chose Turan Turan because it was nearby, but I did not recover for two years.

(In response to the clinic's reply): You claimed that you performed PRP under ultrasound guidance — this is not true. You never examined my knee with ultrasound. You also mentioned that I did not attend my other appointments — were you waiting for me? I do not understand. Many doctors, including your personal mentor, Professor Ömer Faruk Bilgen, said that the surgery you recommended was groundless and unnecessary, and that the use of PRP was incorrect. It is not I who say this — it is said directly by Dr. Kayhan Turan's mentor.

Hello everyone.

We were admitted on August 25, 2025. Today, on Friday August 29, is the day of our discharge. I was so pleased with everything that I wanted to write this as a patient before being discharged. I too had to postpone knee replacement surgery for years. At stage 4 I trusted in God, and then in Dr. Kayhan — for the treatment of both my knees.

And we are very glad we made this choice. First of all, he is very kind and caring. It would not be a mistake to say he is the best in Turkey in terms of professionalism. He has a fantastic team. Physiotherapist Emir was very dedicated to his work and helped with post-operative physiotherapy. I cannot name everyone, but all the nurses, orderlies and cleaners in the inpatient ward on the 5th floor were incredibly responsive. I came to Turan Turan expecting a total knee replacement (right knee). Dr. Kayhan Turan told me directly: you do NOT need a knee replacement — you need a hip replacement (right hip).

He asked me to lie on the examination table and lifted my left leg, rotated it back and forth — asked how it felt, I said "fine." Then he did almost the same with the right leg, and I almost jumped from the pain. Dr. Kayhan said: "That is why you need a hip replacement."

I will not go into all the details (physiotherapy and so on), but suffice it to say that everything went smoothly. They operated on me the next morning, and that same day I was walking down the corridor without pain. While I was there — no problems, everything was resolved.

There is a lot of negativity in the press about hospitals and clinics in Europe — well, I can say: as for Turan Turan Health Group in Bursa (Turkey), this clinic is definitely not among the bad ones. Five stars is even too little. Would I return? Without hesitation, if I needed surgery.

Hello, 10 years ago I first came to Dr. Kayhan because of an ingrown toenail. A half-hour operation solved my problem. This year one of our relatives sent a video of wart treatment at our doctor's hospital. Honestly, I did not decide right away, because I had already despaired. I had a lot of warts on my hands. Before, I had done cauterization, freezing, took herbal remedies, got an acid solution at the pharmacy, cauterized — nothing helped, on the contrary, they only spread.
