About clinic

Memorial Hospital Ankara is a modern multidisciplinary hospital covering an area of 42 thousand square meters. It was the last of the Memorial branches to be built. The hospital building was designed according to the latest medical standards. Memorial Ankara Hospital has modern equipment and applies advanced technologies for diagnosing and treating various diseases. The clinic is certified by JCI, which confirms that the quality of medical care meets international standards.

Features and achievements of Memorial Ankara Hospital

Memorial Ankara Hospital is the largest private hospital in the capital of Turkey. It has 169 hospital beds, 33 of which are in intensive care units. The hospital has 63 outpatient departments and 11 high-tech operating rooms. Strict aseptic standards are observed in the surgical halls. Bactericidal LED lamps and HEPA filters are used to clean the air and surfaces.

Due to the high quality of medical services and commitment to the implementation of new technologies, Memorial Ankara Clinic has been recognized with many prestigious awards. Among them are:

  • Best Cancer Hospital in Turkey (2019);
  • Best Private Hospital in Ankara (2018);
  • Best Cardiovascular Hospital in Turkey (2017);
  • Best Private Hospital in Turkey (2001).

Memorial Ankara Hospital practices a patient-centered approach. They do everything possible to make treatment and diagnostics in the hospital as convenient, comfortable and effective as possible. The results of imaging studies and laboratory tests are stored digitally in the respective departments. This enables the Ankara clinic to work in an integrated way with other branches of the Memorial network. In other words, patients can get a consultation or second opinion from any Memorial Health Group physician.

  • Oncology Center;
  • Spine Surgery Center;
  • Center of Robotic Surgery;
  • Neurosurgery Department;

Innovative technologies at Memorial Ankara Hospital

Ankara Hospital is the newest branch of Memorial Health Group. Therefore, it is one of Turkey's leading medical innovation centers. The following advanced technologies are used here:

  • 3 Tesla MRI. 3 Tesla MRI has better spatial resolution, increased sensitivity to pathologic changes, and a better ability to differentiate tissues. All this increases the accuracy of diagnosis.
  • Robotic surgery. Memorial Ankara Hospital uses the latest generation robotic unit – Da Vinci XI. It is used in urology (adult and pediatric), gynecology, general, bariatric, thoracic and cardiovascular surgery.
  • CAD EYE. This is an artificial intelligence technology that is being used for colorectal cancer screening. A separate processor added to the colonoscopy device can effectively detect colon polyps.
  • Advanced neuronavigation systems. Used in spinal and brain surgery to reduce the risk of surgical complications. The neuronavigation system uses previously acquired MRI and CT images to guide the surgeon through the shortest and safest route to the area of lesion localization.
  • HoLEP (holmium laser enucleation of the prostate). A closed method of surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Pathologic tissue is vaporized under the influence of a laser. The operation is bloodless and does not require a long-term recovery of the patient.
  • Radiation therapy Elekta Versa HD Signature. A high-efficiency linear gas pedal that delivers intensity-modeled radiotherapy (IMRT) and curved field radiation therapy (VMAT). These are high-precision radiation techniques that minimize radiation exposure to surrounding healthy tissue.

Diagnosis: Pregnancy management and childbirth

We have been together with our doctor Ertugrul Karahanoglu for about 10 months since we found out that my wife was pregnant. During this period, we had a monitoring visit and a cesarean section. We are extremely satisfied with Memorial Hospital in Ankara. We thank our doctor and his team, we really liked everything. Thanks to you, we are holding our baby in our arms. The nurses and medical staff are very attentive and friendly. The only thing we are not satisfied with is the food.
