The staff at the reception desks look completely indifferent. They speak quietly and don’t look you in the face, so they are hard to hear.
Inside the hospital there is constant bustle and a large number of people. The premises are cramped, the waiting areas small and uncomfortable.
There is a constant feeling of being in everyone’s way. Unfortunately, appointment times are almost never kept, and you have to wait a very long time.

First of all, I want to note that my comments do not concern the doctors.
The staff look incredibly unhappy and behave as if there are no patients or their relatives around. They chat freely among themselves and are completely unable to build normal communication with patients. The call center staff, assistants and reception workers are extremely unfriendly.
Even if you ask a very simple and clear question, getting an answer is almost impossible. You have to repeat the same thing several times. It’s the same at the call center.
It’s impossible to reach the doctor, or his assistant either. Moreover, they don’t even call you back. You literally have to chase after the assistants. Honestly, I regretted coming here.
When I ask to contact the doctor, they just tell me that the follow-up period has expired and I need to pay for a consultation again. The same rehearsed answers.
If you’re ready to put up with such conditions — then you can come.

I used to like this hospital, until I came here with a friend who had arrived from abroad.
We sought help for severe nausea and diarrhea. Since the patient was a foreigner, her family and the insurance company needed to approve payment for the tests.
The nurses, doctors and sanitary staff constantly asked only about payment and permission to perform procedures. Instead of medical workers, they resembled traders more. It was extremely unpleasant to watch a sick person, who is trying to resolve issues with an insurance company from abroad, being constantly pressured about financial matters.
It’s impossible to tell who is in front of you — a doctor or a bazaar trader. I won’t come here again and won’t recommend it to anyone.

I had been here before and everything was great, but today I came to do a PCR test before a trip. When the result came, it turned out that it could not be used for travel.

First of all, I want to note: if you make an appointment in person, you will be provided with an interpreter and an escort who will help you get to the doctor and make sure you received the necessary care.
I was accompanied by an English-speaking interpreter, and I also saw Arabic-speaking interpreters helping other patients.
Our appointment was with Dr. Arya, who is fluent in English, Persian and Turkish. He is a brilliant orthopedist with many years of experience, and that’s no exaggeration.

Over the past few months I have visited Kolan International Hospital several times and would like to share comments that I consider constructive criticism.
First of all, the hospital’s medical staff are very professional, friendly and dedicated to their work. Especially the doctors — excellent specialists and communicators who treat patients with respect and understanding.
On the other hand, the work of the reception leaves much to be desired. This is a very important department of the hospital, but there is a serious lack of organization here. There are no unified standards for receiving patients and scheduling consultations. Reception staff often behave arrogantly and disrespectfully. Patients are perceived as a problem rather than as people who need help. I had to wait for hours and days for issues to be resolved, encountering unfulfilled promises and being ignored.
In addition, a serious problem is the lack of multilingual staff. An international hospital must have staff fluent in English and other languages. The use of interpreters does not always help and sometimes becomes an additional barrier between doctor and patient.
Although I was impressed by the hospital’s equipment and the quality of the doctors’ work, I don’t want to return here because of the negative experience with the reception.

A few months ago I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. Before that, I periodically had problems with the joints, they hurt, crunched, slightly swollen, but now inflammatory processes have begun. I didn’t know where to go and how much it would cost. I spoke with my friend – I heard that a couple of years ago she underwent cancer treatment abroad. I wanted to know at least the most general information, how realistic it is in general – to be treated in a foreign clinic. She told me that she was choosing between Turkey and Germany, but in the Turkish clinic Kolan the price turned out to be much more acceptable, even though she had the opportunity to be treated either there or there. I also contacted that hospital. A few weeks later I was already flying for treatment. Dr. Ahmed Dogan worked with me. I am very grateful to him for his professionalism and kindness. Now my state of health is stable, I don’t observe problems with joints, I try to follow the doctor’s recommendations in everything.

A few years ago, my sister was treated for cervical cancer in Turkey at one of the major gynecological clinics in Istanbul. Therefore, when I faced an equally serious problem – I needed lung cancer treatment, in Turkey I knew that I would find qualified specialists. Another important argument is that the cost of cancer treatment in Israel and Turkey, despite its good quality, remains more acceptable than in many European clinics. Is it worth doing bariatric surgery at Kolan?
