Hip Replacement Surgery at the Galeazzi Institute
For 60 years, the Galeazzi Orthopedic Institute has maintained its leadership in Italy in terms of quantity and quality of hip arthroplasty:
- Doctors perform 2,400 surgeries annually with the highest success rate in the country – over 90%;
- Orthopedists perform 75% of all partial or complete replacements of unsuitable or worn prostheses in the country;

Patients with standard cases are usually discharged 2-3 days after surgery. Elderly patients with concomitant diseases, with complex cases, who come from other countries, undergo rehabilitation in a hospital with the help of physiotherapists for 2-3 weeks.
In difficult cases (congenital dislocations, malformations, outcomes of growth diseases, post-traumatic or rheumatic arthrosis), special individual prostheses are used. Hello, I have serious scoliosis and some other health problems. Scoliosis should be operated on and preferably as soon as possible since it will only get worse … In Ukraine, they refused to operate because there was a very big risk. Poland also refused. After a long search, the clinic Galeazzi was finally told to come for a detailed consultation.
