




Dr. Yugal Kishore Mishra is one of the most experienced cardiac surgeons in India and a pioneer of minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery in the country.
He chairs the Manipal Institute of Cardiac Sciences and works as Chief Cardiovascular Surgeon at Manipal Hospital in the Dwarka district of New Delhi. He has performed more than 19,000 open heart operations and over 500 robotic cardiac procedures.
Dr. Mishra performs coronary artery bypass grafting, including off-pump surgery, redo operations, valve replacement and repair, treatment of aortic aneurysms, the Bentall procedure, heart transplantation and implantation of mechanical circulatory support devices.
He received his PhD at the Bakulev Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery in Moscow and trained at leading centers in the USA, Sweden, the Netherlands and France. He is President of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons (IACTS) and of the Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons of India.
