











Dr. Sujoy Bhattacharjee is an Indian orthopedic surgeon focused on knee and hip joint replacement. Since 2025 he has been heading the Institute of Robotic Joint Replacement at Max Multi Speciality Hospital (Saket, New Delhi).
The doctor’s strongest area is robotic joint replacement. According to the clinic, he has performed more than twenty-five thousand joint replacement surgeries, including more than five thousand using an active robot with cruciate ligament preservation.
In July 2025, under his leadership, the world’s first robotic cementless medial-pivot knee replacement was performed on a 54-year-old patient — an event that was covered by major Indian publications.
Dr. Bhattacharjee is listed in the Limca Book of Records for performing hip joint replacement on a 104-year-old patient. He practices a same-day (day-care) ligament-preserving surgery program.

Regularly serves as a visiting faculty in Serbia, Canada, Singapore, Kazakhstan and other countries.
