Eye redness
I came regarding treatment of my wife eyes, and it was not my first visit.
An excellent doctor, excellent treatment, very clear explanation of the cause of the problem.
No unnecessary tests, medical jargon, or unnecessary medications.
I remember that two years ago I went with a similar problem to another doctor who recommended something like surgery and referred us to Artemis.
Thank God, I found Dr. Sameer Kaushal, who said that this problem would resolve even without medication.

Eye pain
I visited this clinic for an ophthalmologist consultation and was very satisfied with the diagnosis, the way the eye examination was conducted, and the doctor recommendations for eye pain.
Much better than at Center for Sight near Leisure Valley Park in Gurgaon.
The consultation cost is 850 rupees.
However, the parking cost is too high — 50 rupees, and finding a parking spot is difficult.
The doctor name is Sameer Kaushal.

General examination
I started wearing glasses in 2015. Obviously, my vision deteriorated due to long-term work on a laptop.
This is the first doctor who advised relaxing the eye muscles — wearing glasses of weaker strength or no glasses at all while working.
Nearsighted eyes do not need optics for close objects. Now I use strong glasses only when driving or watching TV.

Dr. Sameer Kaushal is Director of the Ophthalmology Department at Medanta — The Medicity (Gurgaon), one of the leading private multi-specialty hospitals in India. He completed his entire medical education at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS, New Delhi) — the leading state medical institute in the country, which provides a rare combination of a single academic standard at all stages of training.

Dr. Kaushal specializes in corneal diseases, cataract surgery (including pediatric cases), refractive surgery, and ocular surface surgery. He is proficient in modern laser vision correction techniques — LASIK, PRK, KLEx, femto-procedures, and PreLEx — covering virtually all current approaches to correcting myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. In the field of corneal transplantation, he uses lamellar techniques and sutureless methods, important for Fuchs dystrophy and similar conditions.

The doctor has performed more than 15,000 successful surgeries. Before joining Medanta, he worked at Artemis Hospital (Gurgaon) for about 14 years, where he was at the origins of the ophthalmology department. He also owns the private PL Memorial Eye Clinic in Gurgaon. He is a co-author of books on LASIK and corneal transplantation. The hospital is known for its programs in cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, oncology, and organ transplantation. For an ophthalmology patient, this means powerful multidisciplinary support — critical for patients with diabetes (diabetic retinopathy and cataract in combination), systemic autoimmune diseases, and cardiovascular pathology.

The hospital has a well-developed international service: the website has a dedicated International Patients section with the option to receive a cost estimate, coordinator assistance, and the ability to plan a visit 2-3 days in advance. An online Second Opinion service is also available.
