Ebru Esen is actively engaged in research in the field of general and oncologic surgery. Her work focuses on innovative methods of diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors including breast, gastric, thyroid, melanoma and other cancers. Research concerns the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques, the use of new materials and technologies for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients after surgery.
Dr. Esen actively participates in international and national conferences, presenting her research through oral and poster presentations. She has also authored several chapters in specialized medical books.

- International articles: More than 15 articles in highly ranked journals. Major publications are related to analyzing the effectiveness of YouTube as a source of medical information, rare cases of metastasis, minimally invasive treatments, and the use of innovative materials to prevent postoperative complications.
- National articles: More than 10 articles in leading Turkish medical publications. Research covers the topics of surgical treatment of melanoma, complications after surgery, application of new techniques in gastric cancer and other cancers.
