About clinic

Xiamen Humanity Hospital is a large multidisciplinary medical center in Xiamen, located in the island part of the city, in the Wuyuan Bay area. The hospital was established in 2018. It has a capacity of 1,000 beds and includes 47 specialized clinical and diagnostic departments. For patients, this means the ability to undergo diagnostics, surgery, intensive care, and follow-up treatment within a single medical facility.

Key Features of Xiamen Humanity Hospital in China

The hospital was established with the participation of Xiamen C&D Group through the Ren’ai Medical Foundation. It is not a narrowly specialized private clinic, but a large hospital focused on complex cases, advanced medical care, and long-term development. The institution is built on a strong academic foundation, providing patients with access to multidisciplinary teams and modern evidence-based treatment protocols.

Cancer Treatment at Xiamen Humanity Hospital

Cancer treatment is one of the hospital’s key areas of expertise. The facility includes departments of medical oncology, radiation therapy, integrative oncology, and others. The center follows a comprehensive patient management model for specific cancer types, based on evidence-based medicine, clinical guidelines, and personalized treatment planning.

The hospital is equipped with the Varian VitalBeam system, used for 3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, and other types of high-precision radiation therapy. This technology allows precise targeting of radiation doses to tumors, customization of treatment parameters based on tumor location and clinical needs, and minimization of exposure to healthy tissues. MRI and PET/CT-guided planning are also used to accurately define tumor boundaries before therapy begins.

Boron Neutron Capture Therapy at Xiamen Humanity Hospital

This is a highly precise cancer treatment method in which boron compounds are first accumulated in tumor cells, followed by neutron irradiation of the targeted area. As a result, the main destructive effect occurs locally within the tumor. This method is particularly valuable in complex clinical cases where highly targeted treatment is required.

Minimally Invasive and Robot-Assisted Surgery

Xiamen Humanity Hospital активно uses the da Vinci robotic system for procedures in general and thoracic surgery, urology, gynecology, head and neck surgery, as well as cardiac surgery. These procedures are associated with reduced tissue trauma and blood loss. They enable surgeons to operate more precisely in anatomically complex areas and, in many cases, ensure faster recovery compared to open surgery.

Neurosurgery at Xiamen Humanity Hospital

The neurosurgery department treats complex tumors and vascular conditions of the brain and spinal cord, including skull base tumors, aneurysms, vascular malformations, and pituitary tumors. Surgeries are performed with high precision by well-coordinated multidisciplinary teams, which is especially important when it is necessary not only to remove pathological lesions but also to preserve neurological function as much as possible.

Interventional Oncology and Vascular Treatment

For patients with liver tumors and vascular diseases, the hospital has a dedicated department of interventional oncology and vascular interventions. Procedures are performed under the guidance of angiography, CT, ultrasound, and MRI through a puncture or small incision. This approach allows targeted treatment of tumors or affected vessels while minimizing invasiveness.

One of the advanced techniques used is yttrium-90 radioembolization for liver tumors. This is a localized treatment in which microspheres containing a radioactive isotope are delivered directly into the blood vessels feeding the tumor. The method can be considered an organ-preserving and less invasive option, as well as a complement to other anticancer therapies.

Orthopedics at Xiamen Humanity Hospital

The hospital treats complex injuries, major joint disorders, and spinal conditions. The department uses C-arm and G-arm imaging systems, arthroscopic and spinal endoscopic technologies, as well as surgical microscopes. This allows surgeons to navigate more precisely during procedures, apply minimally invasive techniques whenever possible, and reduce surgical trauma.

Diagnosis: rehabilitation after spine surgery

May 2025 I came here for rehabilitation (I had spine surgery). Nice experience, the staff from doctors to nurses and all medical staff are super nice. The hospital is a very efficient machine, I had a lot of treatments, such as in Europe you can’t find. The holistic approach combining modern therapies and traditional Chinese medicine is a winning approach.
