My septo-rhinoplasty experience:

I had my septo-rhinoplasty with Dr. Handan a week ago, after a lifetime of struggling with breathing issues and a deviated septum. While I could have done the surgery in my own country, finding a doctor who really understood both functionality and aesthetics was the most important thing for me. I spoke with six other doctors, but no one convinced me like Dr. Handan did. From my first contact with her team to our video consultation, she came across as incredibly professional, empathetic, and ambitious — a quality I really value because an ambitious surgeon is someone who pushes to give each patient their best possible result. Dr. Handan and her nurses Kübra and Nisa went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and always felt taken care of. She even provided a free shuttle service for my partner and me during our stay, which isn't normally included in the service I had originally booked. This was such a kind gesture that really showed she cares about her patients beyond just the surgery itself.

For anyone thinking of doing this procedure internationally, here are my honest thoughts:

- The language barrier at the hospital was a bit tricky, since most nurses didn't speak English (thank goodness for Google Translate!). But because everything went smoothly, it didn't end up being a big issue. Recovery, however, was tough, especially during the first week. The swelling was pretty intense for the first four days and has only started to go down now. Just know everyone's body reacts differently, so your experience might be easier for you.

- Mentally, it's also a bit of a journey. Your face is going to look unfamiliar at first, and you won't see the final result for six months to a year. While I went into this decision feeling confident, it's essential to approach it without unrealistic expectations of perfection. It's okay to change something you're not happy with, but surgery alone won't create self-love. I'm grateful to have made this decision at 30, a much more self-assured version of myself than I was in my early twenties.

- If you're considering rhinoplasty in Turkey, make sure to choose a doctor who's also an ENT specialist if you have functional concerns. When I found Dr. Handan, I immediately felt like she and her team really cared; I wasn't just another number on the list.

Plus, recovering by the seaside in Antalya was incredibly peaceful and way better than being in a hectic city.

Best surgeon in Turkey!! I had surgery 27th aug 2024 (last week) and I got the full 5* treatment from the moment I got picked up from the airport to the moment I got dropped back off to the airport. Op. Dr. Handan Şimşek Turan is such a lovely lady she made me feel so comfortable and explained everything step by step all they way through. I am over the moon with my outcome and would 1000% recommend her!! Her work is outstanding!! Anyone that’s nervous or hesitating, because let’s face it you do think twice about surgery abroad, you will not be disappointed!! Honestly her work and her team are beautiful!

What can I say , I was very hesitant to come to Turkey to have surgery but the price in the UK was just ridiculous.

From the moment I landed in turkey we received a 5* service , we have been treated like royalty, everything was made so easy for us, from drivers always on time , taking us wherever we needed to be. Dr handsam has worked her magic I had a breast lift and reduction and upper eye lid surgery , my experience was lovely and a day after surgery I relaxed with my family around the pool , 100% recommend

I am mrs Handan patient and got eye lid operation recently and now I m thinking why I didnt have it earlier..She is excelent dr and excellent care of patients..My operation got only 40 min.No pain at all during operation and after,it was face and eyes swollen and sore only after 10 days started to ease and back to normal in a month as she said that.. Almost every week she checked on me after 3 months result was perfect no scars..I truly thank her and looking forward to go for other operations with no doubt..

My daughter had breast reduction sungery on July 23. We were very pleased that our doctor's attention,similing face, anda careful examination were in place from the surgery to this time.It's good that we had this surgery from Handan doctor and really my daugther is very happy.

My Dear Doctor

One of the most beautiful doctors I have ever seen in my life! I had muscle tears and unbearable pain after motherhood. I started doing research because of both the deformity and pain in my abdomen. I found Dr Handan. She explained the whole process in great detail, what I might encounter, both positive and negative, and what I should pay attention to. Give confidence. She answered all my questions without getting tired. Her positive approach and professionalism are undeniable. I gained self-confidence. Thanks to this, I made peace with myself. I had a brest reduction surgery last November. I'm very pleased with the result. Dr. Handan took my measurements and carefully explained what is going to happend during the surgery.
