Dr. Abdullah Yakupoglu is an interventional radiologist at the Istanbul-based Memorial Şişli clinic. He is a specialist in minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment methods performed under imaging guidance (CT, ultrasound, angiography), without open surgery.
The main focus of his work is interventional oncology. This includes percutaneous tumor ablation (radiofrequency and microwave), as well as fusion imaging techniques, where images from different modalities are overlaid for precise targeting of tumor tissue.
Before joining Memorial Şişli, Dr. Yakupoglu worked at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital and at one of the clinics within the Acıbadem network. He received his radiology education at Istanbul University, with specialized courses completed abroad.
For the patient, this means access to modern minimally invasive treatment methods for tumors of the liver, kidneys, lungs, and other organs — without large incisions, with short hospital stays and rapid recovery. These methods can be used either as standalone treatment (in early stages) or as part of comprehensive therapy together with the clinic’s surgeons and oncologists.
