


Hakan Agir has been actively engaged in scientific research since the early 2000s. In 2004, he studied comprehensive methods for treating unilateral cleft lip and palate, and in 2005 he conducted clinical research on recurrent mandibular fractures. In 2006, he developed a reliable technique for microvascular anastomosis.
From 2007, he published works on reconstructive surgery of the hand and foot, as well as orbital pathologies. In 2008, his research focused on Li-Fraumeni syndrome and rare cases of pediatric Fournier’s gangrene.
In 2011, a publication was released on modern methods for primary treatment of cleft lip and palate, and in 2015 he investigated the use of acellular dermal matrix for correcting palatal clefts.
His scientific work is regularly published in leading international journals, including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and others.
