Cardiac Surgeons in Israel

In 2009 I flew to Tel Aviv for a heart examination. I had a coronarography, during which it became clear that I urgently needed a bypass surgery. Thanks to the staff of Ikhilov Hospital, everything was organized very quickly and I had an open heart surgery - replacement of 3 aortas. This operation was performed by a great surgeon - Dmitry Pevny. Thanks to his skill everything went very well. I do not know exactly, but I think that in our country I could not find such a specialist who would agree to do such an operation, because I still have a lot of other health problems. I recovered quickly and in three weeks I was already at home. I was discharged after seven days, but I had to stay a little longer, because it was not recommended to fly right away. Now I try to visit my doctor Dmitry Pevne once every half a year. In addition to very competent and necessary recommendations, I have a great pleasure to communicate with him. From him comes a huge wave of kindness, interest in your problems. Once again, thank him very much for everything. And, of course, thank you to all the staff of Ikhilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.

In 2013 I came to have my valve checked. But after the check-up it turned out that not only the valve replacement was needed, but also the replacement of the ascending aorta. I was very worried, thinking, afraid, as I needed open-heart surgery. But, looking at my doctor, I immediately believed him and agreed. Everything was quickly formalized, they said that the operation would last 7 hours. But it was done in 4 and a bit hours. And now it's been 6.5 years. I feel good. I would like to express my great gratitude to him, I wish him health, happiness and success in life!!!! Thank you very much Dr. Pevni for a second life!!!

I was diagnosed with angina pectoris. When my wife and I went on vacation to Israel, I decided to take the opportunity to have another heart checkup. We chose the Sourasky Clinic. It turned out to be a very wise decision. The doctors found that I had a severe blockage in my artery and successfully placed a stent. If I had not decided to have this checkup, everything could have ended with a heart attack.

I have a congenital heart defect. This year I underwent cardiology treatment in Israel. The surgery was excellent and successful, I highly recommend Prof. Bolotin. He is very professional, patient and attentive to patients, explains everything and answers questions. From the point of view of the staff - the stitches were not done very well, and now there are complications. Also, the ward has unprofessional nurses - they do not explain or give clear instructions on discharge, they used sticky tape which resulted in a real wound (the scar is still there!).

I was recommended to Gil Bolotin by a young doctor at Emek Hospital in Afula. He entered my room after catheterization and said: “You should go to Prof. Bolotin for a second opinion”. Prof. Bolotin received me two days later, we had a long consultation. We talked about my case, the expected surgery and its results. Prof. Bolotin answered all my questions with infinite patience and provided a lot of information about the surgery options. The surprising phrase I heard was: “Don't worry, this is state medicine, you don't have to pay!” (I had exactly the question: how much do I have to pay?!). He then prepared my referral for surgery, notified the ward secretary of the decision, and made sure he was the one to perform the surgery. During my hospitalization, before the surgery, Professor Bolotin invited me for a personal conversation, explained the expected surgery and reassured me. After the surgery, he presented the results of the surgery to my family. Before discharge, he made sure to communicate with me personally and in detail. I was impressed with the openness, compassion and professionalism I encountered. I underwent a successful bypass surgery. The surgery was a complete success, my body is working beautifully, the scar is minimal and I feel that I was treated professionally and humanely.
