His research activities focus on evaluating the clinical outcomes of implantation of new intraocular lens (IOL) models, including monofocal, multifocal and microincision lenses.
Toygar is also involved in studies using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) to determine retinal and optic nerve normative values in children. He has co-authored papers on the diagnosis and rare cases of ocular pathologies including retinal pigment epithelium detachment and spontaneous complications after IOL implantation.
